Washed mine today. I have some water spots that I can't get rid of. I think I'll need to clay bar it to get rid of them.

I'm afraid to use a buffer and get the swirls that are common in black vehicles.

Doesn't the major Polish Companies have an Anti Swirl Wipe down or Polish ?

Im thinking yes, check out Mother's or Maguire's... let us know how it works... I'm going to need the same thing soon enough !

I got the headlights for the new Projector Retrofit and need to fit them before sending them off for the work and I also got a new Breather and Parking Light Bulbs for the front... figures one of the bulbs blew out when I decided to Retrofit the Projectors.

I had too much happening yesterday so didnt get a chance to work on the Truck and today so far we are socked in with Fog... never have I ever... seem it so thick.

Always tomorrow or at least the afternoon when things burn off, IF things burn off !

Thanks, I will check them out.

I find the cost of having one the leading Shop do the retro to be WAY to high.
One shop wants $680 to retrofit my Housings, that after the cost of the Projectors and Halos... and I need to mail the housings to them on the east coast; I don't know if that includes return postage, without return postage the cost will be over $1000.00... just for headlights.

You might think if the labor costs were reduced the might be more retrofits happening !

The funny thing is when I lived on the East Coast everything I wanted to buy or services, was on the West Coast now it is the opposite !

I washed my truck, my car, and the wife's car. They are no longer pollen yellow and back to their original colors. The pollen count is down from Saturday's 3340 to 1266 today.

Programmed my spare key today.  Went to lowes to get the key cut.  They refused to cut the OEM key and wanted to charge me $75 for their Ford transponder key...rofl, gtfo.

Went to a locksmith.  He only charged me $5 to cut the key and would have done it free had he known I was going to leave him a positive review...lol  Oh well. He was cool dude.

Put my first programmed key in, then the second that I initially used via FORScan, and the put in the cut spare..  Works perfectly.  Now have fully functioning 3 keys.   Now this makes me want to look at remote start since I have all keys working and an avital remote start is only $40....hmmmmm

I always thought you could have only two... funny, I need another Key for the Wife... !

Gonna have to talk to you later about this... after I finish the Headlights.

I got the Air filter changed and got the blown parking lamp replaced.

And just to make point... Lowe's didnt refuse to cut the key because it was an OEM Key but because they have no way to record just them cutting your key.

I ran into this a while back but my key was just a house key I had for sometime and never got cut.

I could be worng but that's just what I think !

Yep I believe you can have to up 5 total keys for PATs.  Two primary stored keys and remaining amount are considered "spares".  IE:  If you loose one of the two main keys you won't be able to create a spare, but if you loose a spare you'd be able to make a new one using the two main keys.  But FORScan can pretty much take care of it either way no problem.  Yep hit me up later, super easy to program.

I thought that as well but the machine they have a lowes is all computerized now.  It's not the normal put a blank key in and manually follow it/cut new key.  The put their keys in that are programmed to the silly machine.  It's a joke.  I can honestly say though, I'd never have them cut a key after having the locksmith do it in less than 20 seconds and for charging so little... it was a steal.

Fixed my p/s leak. I fabbed up a mounting bracket from some old sheet steel stock I had laying around from a previous job.

Mounted the new bracket & installed the new p/s cooler.

Finally had mine for 5k miles, went ahead and changed the oil today.

It's been raining all day but I pulled her into the garage.

Since I installed the Rancho shocks I haven't re-tightened them, so I checked that today as well.

Started it & ran it for a few minutes just to verify my p/s leak is fixed, & checked the trailer wiring plug in preparation of our end of June trip to Maine where I will be pulling a motorcycle trailer. Found one of the terminals in the wire plug has green corrosion on it. Stop light have power, l/s & r/s turn signals have power, but no running lights. Now I have to see if I can clean the corrosion out of the plug or get a new trailer wiring kit.

Mix a little vinegar and salt and paint it onto the green corrosion - it will dissolve the copper oxide - when clean, wash it off with a little water, dry and then apply a little petroleum jelly to protect the connectors.
