Michael, I think it is just because of the angle of the picture & the lighting.

Yea the lighting on both days was just about opposite. I wish my truck was orange.
The camper shell I'm planning on keeping black, now I'm just debating on putting Bed liner on the outside of it and along the fender flares and rocker panels.
Paint code is D 3. I bought some touch up paint in a spray can to do my trim pieces on the back of the cab. They're faded real bad and the clear is basically gone off of them. Of course after I re do those the rest of the truck will be dull.

I love that camper shell. I wouldn't mind finding one for my Ranger....hey yours looks like it'd do! haha

I bought one for my Dakota I had a while back and it took me a year to find one on craigslist to match the color. I hvent really looked for one for the Ranger. I have a vinyl, foldable tonneau for now.

I better hold on to it for now. Lol posted on Facebook that I was looking for one. A guy that owns a body shop had it, garage kept for 2 years. He took it off of his 04 ranger. I looked for about 2 weeks before I finally found one.

I don't have Facebook. I just check on Craigslist on occasion. Maybe I can find one right away, who knows.

Seems when I was looking for my Dakota, everyone wanted WAY too much for ones that weren't in that great of shape.

My truck is pretty clean still and nice and shiny with no scratches. I'd had to buy a faded scratched up topper for it.

I've wanted a roof rack on all of my Rangers and it seems there's no specific one for our trucks. People piece them together and never have exact part numbers for what they use. But I see lots of them on toppers.

You took the words right out of my mouth. Roof rack is next. I'e wanted one on my gmc but I don' know how they go on. I just assumed the truck had to have holes drilled. Now that I have my ranger with the topper it'l have a roof rack here soon. When I get one I'll be sure to post the links and model of what I buy.

Even without a topper, I'd like a rack for my roof. I googled some pics and they look pretty nice. Mainly for a larger spare tire and maybe some off-road accessories like a jack, shovel or some lights.

Obviously not a need, just a want!

Haven't done anything to the baby. His clutch went out. Waiting for payday to buy a new clutch kit and then potentially wait for dad to be home..

Got some new headlight and foglight bulbs for mine, though not LED, I'm sure they'll be brighter. Maybe I'll install them tomorrow.

Nice Maxx!

I pulled my rear wheels and re-torqued my U-bolts from when I threw on the 2.5" rear blocks.

I also threw in some new headlight bulbs and attempted to add new foglight bulbs as well. For whatever reason, the new 9145 bulbs wouldn't go into the fog hole. I'm not sure if it's the larger o-ring seal or the base of the bulb. Now I have bright white headlights and dim yellow-ish fogs. Oh well.

If fedex will ever show up I plan to replace the broken arm rest in my truck with the dorman metal unit I bought, and new pad from ford.

it feels so much better. the old on bounced around and rattled. It was expensive, but worth it.

If I recall correctly, you were discussing this on another forum with rwenzing (now known as V8 Level II).

I did the same upgrade to my 2000 Ranger. My plastic arm rest base was not broken as bad as yours. With the metal base it is a lot stronger.

Ya, that base, in my opinion is the remnants of a bigger guy owning the truck. I bought it from an older man who was near 300lbs. The drivers seat was broken down and leaned and the arm rest was destroyed. I have already fixed the drivers seat and now with the arm rest fixed, its all good. Sometimes I question why i spend money on this truck. Im just giving it to my son in about 18 months anyways lol

I think part of it is the ease. And abundance of parts

I do it because it is fun, it is paid for, & I do NOT like the look of anything new, not that I want a newer truck I like the look of the truck the way it is now.
