 Yesterday after getting home from work I removed all the bolts from the bed, put the back of the Ranger up on jack stands & removed the rear wheels. One side at a time I lifted the bed & had my wife slide a 2x4 under the bed on the frame rail. At the back of the bed I also put a short length of 4x4 on the 2x4 to lift the bottom of the rear of the bed over the bumper, removed the 3 screws from the filler neck & slid the bed back far enough to access the fuel pump. This morning I removed the 3 lines, the electrical connection, & the retainer ring & removed the fuel pump module assembly. I used a Bosch #-69134 fuel pump & #-68018 filter screen & reinstalled the pump module assembly. Before reinstalling the bed I tried it to make sure it would run & when that was ok I reinstalled the bed & took it for a ride around town. I did notice the hose clamp at the pump on the feed hose was very loose when removing the old pump.

 The problem I was experiencing was at speeds above 60 mph on the highway, not in lower speeds. I will know for sure when I drive the highway going to work Monday morning when I travel 65-70mph.

Tony, I did not drive it without the bed on it. I just started it when it was still on the jack stands.

 When I did my fuel pump I zip-tied the lights  on the bumper so I could drive it to work. I spent some time with a wire brush and rush inhibitor on the frame from the back of the cab to the bumper before I put the bed back on. I also spent some time on the bottom of the bed. I probably saved my spare tire holder from becoming useless. I ground a lot of rust out of it, lubed the mechanism, and the last time I checked it looked like I had repainted it less than a month ago. I drove it about a week with the bed off.  It gave me a false sense of the 3.o having some real power.

All the 3.0L needs is about 100 more HP.

 Hellloooo my lovely people. 

I am proud to announce/share the newest look for my little truck! I officially have paint matched fenders! 
My body guy really hooked me up. 
Painted and pinstriped the fenders, re-aligned my headlights, header panel, and added all new hardware for my bumper. Re-mounted the fenders to be as flush as they could be to my (somewhat) bent hood. 

This man went above and beyond on the body work on my truck. And i cannot thank him enough for what he did. :) 

Truck will look like this for a little while until I put some more money away..

 Helllo everyone. More truck stuff!

Added 2" lift springs, longer front shocks, extended Doetsch Shocks upper control arms, new inner and outer tie-rods, and new balljoints all around. 
:) Truck is looking good. Going to hopefully wash and wax it one of these days after work because Daytona Truck Meet is this week. 

Also, am the proud new owner of a 2007 Honda Accord 4dr 2.4L. 93K miles. Was my grandmothers. She no longer uses it, so she gave it to me for $50.94. Got to do the blend door on the driver side. Should be easy.

 Well, I put aside my home "fixing things that need to be fixed, painted, replaced, renewed" that I have been doing every weekend since early April and did something for my truck.  I gave it a bath and wiped down the interior.  First time I've washed it since last October.  Amazingly, it was still blue under the dirt and road grime.

I feel ya. When I had the 99 ranger sport 4x4 with a ladder rack people at bus stops would make fire truck noises...lol. when i brought home the 07 vista blue one it was such a bright blue it seemed a bit ostentatious. Took a couple months with that color for me to not feel like I was living beyond my means. Lol. Now there are so many beautiful blue cars out there I dont stick out so much...
The blue 07 was the only one in my area at the time optioned the way I wanted. If I would have found one like the nephews I might have remained content but I met 410customs and we are going all out!!!

Hoping this rain stops so I can paint the frame. It is so bad here. Nonstop!! Stupid Florida.

Going to try Rusto-leum Rust Reformer (Heard good things). Might pressure wash and wire brush the frame.

 @Kaylee: Rust Reformer is good stuff and not too terribly expensive.  Yes, there are better products out there, but hold on to your wallet.  A Florida truck shouldn't be rusted too bad, I wouldn't think, unless you are right on the ocean.  Then salt...

Oh no. It is simply surface rust. Not by the ocean or anything. Tbh it is just unsightly to me. I have it all painted and level and nice. Then all I see is surface rusty frame and I cringe.

 See, my lower control arms and frame pieces where my new shiny and pretty powdercoated control arms are, is all rusted. 

So I see it in pictures and I just cringe. It sucks. Haha.

Didn't work on the Ranger, but fixed the AC in the Honda. Driver side blend door was gone bad. Took me about 20 minutes. :-) 
Ice cold AC now :D
