I've heard of there being something better than the Wek' Sos' version that what I say barely exists stock on the Ranger's fuel tanks now. Does anyone have one on their Ranger now and what trim pkg were they available on? Interchangeable years?

Outside of the typical forward Bash Plates for the Baja guys 98+, what other "under-armor" was available if any?

I have the 4x4 Off Road option on my 2000 Ranger, the fuel tank & transfer case skid plates seems pretty beefy to me. The tin one under the front seems useless.

I'll assume you have an extra cab with the 21.4 gal tank as well?

Does it look like this?

I may have need of you as a set of eyes for some detailed pics and measurements if possible? Or I need to find one of these and the Transfer case Skid too.

I just ordered a complete set of skid plates for the 2nd Gen Xterra from Shrockworks.. unbelievable in protection ability and peace of mind. It really got me thinking of whats lacking in the Ranger platform(s) as a viable option for vehicular armament if you will.

I really hope Ford takes a lesson from their own history and takes into account what everyone's been doing worldwide with the PX Rangers and DOESN'T go out of their way to inhibit that in the US versions for 2018+.

OK, so NOW I am..... Whoa! I see I have the defaulted @Mhoward font on.. LMAO

anyway, going to be on the search for the aforementioned skid plates or perhaps even go as far as to borrow someones in hopes that the effort may just score them there's back as well as a better replacement for their time and efforts...

If anyone has the time or ability to find and pull these skids whether from a yard, spare vehicle or their own and ship at my cost factors to me, we should talk soon, LMK if you have a like interest.
