 Beyond the basics of gasket, coolant, water pump, anything I should expect to replace?  The timing cover on my 99 is leaking coolant at the base.

 I can move it if you want.

While you have it off look at the tensioner for the timing chain and see if it is excessively worn. Unless I had replaced it in the last 50,000 miles myself I would put a new chain, gears and tensioner on while you are in there. Same exact level of disassembly.

 Felpro has a gasket kit that also has a new sleeve that go's  over the crank pulley. The old seal will leave a groove in the old pulley. Timing set is cheap. Made a difference and made NoPower run and idle smoother.

 I know this is a months-old post, but I have a similar leak that I need to address. The coolant appears to be coming out around one of the timing cover bolts. I have read some posts around the 'net that talk about the bolts being corroded and snapping off, causing MUCH trouble when performing this repair. Anything I can do to help prevent such a catastrophe? I'm assuming Dusten completed his without issue or he would have posted about it here. My truck is a 3.0, any gotchas I need to be aware of?

Also, thanks to Don for the tip about the Felpro gasket kit with crank sleeve!

 Could the coolant be coming out of the lower side of the Waterpump ?

Maybe it is just the pump ?

 I checked that thoroughly.  Cleaned everything up and dried it.  Pump is fine, just leaking at that one bolt on the timing cover.  I actually wish it WAS the pump. LOL When I do this, I will replace timing chain and what-not as well as the water pump.  If I'm going to all that trouble, I intend on doing it right.

 Thanks! Not sure when this will take place. The leak isn't bad, just makes a bit of a mess on the driveway. Will probably do it over the Thanksgiving holiday as I always take some vacation time around then.
