I did a Google search and found nothing. Can anyone tell me if the power dome hood will fit the 98-2000 trucks without a bunch of work? I think someone on here did the swap to a 98-2000 truck but I cant remember who???

Me, I added the powerdome hood to my 2000 along with swapping out the grille & front lights to the ones from a 01-03.

Did you have to change the grill and lights for the power dome

I had replaced the grille & lights first so I do not know if you have to.

I had to cancel the order after they quoted $300 to ship and stated it would need to be delivered where a forklift was available. Lol. How f-ing heavy are these hoods.
Does anyone know if you can buy them new or if there is a carbon fiber version.

Is the first one a Power Dome Hood, the second one is but I thought '03 was the last  and the first one says '04 !
Just asking !

The Power Dome Hood is a Composite Type of hood, I am not sure what it is made of but no one said Fiberglass is light !
When I lift mine it seems heavier than a steel hood !

I think it was the thread with danger ranger and mike69 that I read how hard these were to find in your area. At the time danger ranger was trying to sell his in the Pacific north west. That was about 10 years ago. Looks great mike!! Recently I've seen a lot back east.

The California one was the first one I found but it has a lot of damage compared to others for sale but the shipping isnt too bad compared to others. The one at jeg is the one currently on my 07 and is not the powerdome.

I'm mister impulse. Lol. I dont need one yet but thought i had better get one especially after i saw a sonic blue one on ebay. I'm sure I'll find one closer when I'm ready

Thank you mike69

Here is a quick look at the 2 domed ranger hoods so others can get a visual idea the subtle differences.

Power dome hoods were used on ranger edge in 2001-2003 I think. They were made of fiberglass. This is what most refer to as a power dome hood. The main distinction is how high the dome is just before it ends in front of the windshield wipers. It's one of the more aggressive stock ranger hoods.

The 2004-2011 also had a domed hood but less pronounced. This hood is aluminum. This is domed as well and could technically be a 2004-2011 power dome?? These have a notch to facilitate a different grille and have a lower profile dome.

Thanks to benchmark auto salon for making my truck so shiny I cant take pictures without seeing a mirror of my surroundings. Lol. So shiny!!!

The ranger power dome hood are advertised as a "hood raised hood" for anyone looking for one.
