This is what I was looking for when I bought my 2WD to swap V8, when I bought my 4WD extended cab.

A single cab 2000 4wd with short bed.

If it is worthy (has some engine problem) and I drag it home, I'm selling my current V8 project and this will become the new V8 project. Sad because I have a gob of cash tied up in the 2WD.

You want a white one, a green 2wd with a 5.0 and an explorer as a package? :)

If I had the extra scratch laying around I would be interested in the white one. That truck always seems to draw my attention

If anything I would keep the v8 truck and use it for parts. All you would really need is a tranny. But could even convert you 2wd tranny to 4wd. If I was you I would finish the white truck then sell it. Keep the 2wd and use it for a donor for the new truck since basically everything you will need is already there. Take the money you make from the white truck and put it in the new green truck.

I ended up not going, wife had to work tonight.
He took a pic of the door tag and the motor, it's a 3.slo and a 8.8 410 open rear end darnit. No power windows either.

I might still be able to get the trans that was in the mountaineer the motor came from, the guy removed it before he squished it. I dropped the torque converter out of it while I was dragging it over there and ran over it so it might not be any good.

Man I want this truck so bad I can smell I hope I can get there to make a deal before he sells it.

Wonder if this is a scam?

You would think people would be all over it but Jesus says he works till 8 wednesday and thursday wants me to come friday. Still will not give me his address.

I just don't want him to sell the thing. Unless he held fireworks parties in the cab I want it. I'm sure it isn't as great as it looks in the pics but his door tag was even clean LOL.

Single Cab 2wd is my base for my swap. I like the way they look, short and stout.

Well? Dying to know if it panned out. Think Nopower might be interested in the green 5.0 4x4.

He just contacted me. 6PM tomorrow (friday) I will be in plain city ohio looking at the ranger.

Wouldn't it be cool if it just had a cracked coil or something and I could drive it for a while to flush out the turds.

It is a February of 2000 build,I bet it still has those darn vacuum hubs.

Oh boy oh boy oh boy going to look at it leaving in a half hour. Hope this is "the one".

Will still need massive mods though. It still has crank windows.

Crank windows = holes in crankcase where rods exited ....
