Hi.  First time user, so still learning.  I have a 2006 extended cab 4WD FX4, Level II Ranger.  The front passenger door needs replaced.   I see online that the generations changed starting at the 2006 model year.  Does anyone know the difference in the doors from either 2002 or 2004 and my 2006.  I have found several decent older doors but none from 2006 on.  Everywhere I look says they are different but no one can tell me what these differences are.  Help!

Only difference is where the mirrors bolt on. Changed in 06. And the wiring in the doors changed in 08. If you use 06-2011 doors you will need the 06-2011 mirrors and belt line trim

What is the difference in the belt line trim from 05 down, & 06-2011?

Thanks for the info!  I take it then that a pair of 2004 doors (with mirrors) will bolt up OK and the contour lines will line up.  If that is the case, I'm in business!!

pretty sure all 98-11 extended cabs have similar doors.....the trim is different but the sheet metal is the same same?
Are they different between the 2 door extended cabs and 4 doors? I do not know
Maybe a ranger expert will chime in

Jamie,

I didn't think there was many changes to the Ranger Cabs Shape within the models lines but I was just interested in how he went about getting it finished up !

I like the ends tied up..., the Wife calls it OCD... with a little PTSD thrown in !

Thx for the update though.

Timely thread. Did anybody figure out if the doors on a regular cab and extended cab (98-11) are interchangeable?
