I had purchased a Lund Visor a while back, finally got around to putting on.
I taped up the area I need to mark, I didn't mark the center but I wanted a first look on the fitment.
I taped the Visor in place on the driver's, at least in place as I thought it should be, and I went to the Passenger side and the Visor overhung by 3/8".
OK split the difference, 3/16 ths on each side, but it still doesn't look right; I don't want something that fits too loose and vibrates.

Anyone know if the Cabs change a lot in the upper windshield area from the mid 90s to 2003 ? I didn't think they did.

Mike69 has one on his sweet truck. He might be able to assist. I swiped this pic from his gallery. It's a early shot, I hope he doesnt mind. I used this pic because it's the only one I can see how far it overlaps the door seem just a hair.

i thought there was some diffrence though between a supercab and a reg cab. back when i ordered one myself, there was 2 diffrent part numbers depending on if you had a regular cab or a supercab. this was before generation 3 existed though, i think i got mine in 92. (was for my first ranger, the '88 supercab) i never did get a visor for my 2nd ranger (the 93). at that time a visor was just too much money for a cosmetic-only item. the one i got for the 88 was the moonvisor, had the built-in clearance lights. i drove the wheels off that truck.

The part number on my cab visor is the same number Scrambler82 has on his. When I installed my cab visor I left 1/4"- 3/8" gap on both sides between the curved area that looks like it should rest on the windshield posts & the windshield posts because if I pushed the visor back further so they woul contact the windshield posts it looked like the door would hit the cab visor when opening the doors. Once the weather warms up I am taking the cab visor off & installing riv-nuts in the roof to attach the cab visor instead of just using the supplied self tapping sheet metal screws. The factory used the riv-nuts in the roof to install roof racks & in the doors to install mirrors so I figured it would be stronger then just using screws. Here are a couple shots showing the gaps between the cab visor & the windshield posts. EM I do not mind you using the picture from my gallery.

Thanks Mike69 for the info and the PM.
I will have to remeasure mine again but it appears to be less space than your, I'm thinking 3/8" total and I would have split that for both sides... might be wrong though.
I need to start again, this time from a center mark... why I didn't do that before I don't know.

Round 2 coming up !

Next thing to think on is the Sealant to use on the Crew Holes, I was thinking "Windshield Sealer", the black gunk, that stuff usually stays a little soft and I have not heard of a Windshield leaking because of the sealer, usually rust but that is another story.

Going for another try, thanks to all for the pictures and comments, I am getting my confidents back !

p.s. What did everyone do about front to back leveling of the visor ?
Is that something I should be worried about in looks ?

Once I got mine to where I wanted it I had someone else make sure it was level front to back while I held it in place before marking the mounting holes.
