I don't think the STX grill will fit.

Hold one in front of the other. I'm pretty sure they are 2 different shapes.

Every other place says they will. Carry on. Maybe more picture angles on the STX grill it looked almost oval at the top from your pic. Has to have those 2 little points to fit 06/11

I have the 6 panel on my sport and dont like the look. I think it looks like the face mask on a football helmet the way it sticks out. I'm for using the stx grill if it fits. I havent found a easy, affordable solution for my 07 and I dont know what year stx would fit

Not really I just hated the chrome grill that was in my truck. It was the only thing chrome on the truck. Then when I hit that deer I had no choice but to put back in after I got the idea to paint it black. Now the paint is peeling off of it and I think it's time for a change

Painting over chrome will always flake off unless you roughen the surface with 320 grit paper and then apply an etch primer before regular primer and color coats.

I like the Sport Grille, I even attempted to fit one in my '03 Shell, there were too many little changes, funny !

IMHO... the Sport Grille is by far the best grille the Ranger had, too bad it wasn't available for the '01-'03 models too.

I have, in the past, and not from a Ranger Grille, lifted the chrome from the plastic, there was a crack and it peeled off. Sanded and painted the pieces black, worked out well.
Also, I used an Adhersion Promoter for plastic, a must do, the plastic out gases and will not let the paint get a good hold otherwise !

Start the process, fit it up and see if it fits for sure !

I put the stx grill in and I'm taking it back out. It looks like something that should be on a revel model

Funny how one person opinion varies from another.

I think the STX Grille is the best looking OEM Grille for a Ranger !

I wish my STX Grille project had worked out... be it as it is... I ended up with an after market square tube grille, with RED Lettering !

Good Luck with that !  Picture if you have any !

Hey, If you haven't taken the STX Grille out, just give it a little time.
It is one of the cleanest Grilles Ford has ever put out, and the outer two sections of the Grille MIghT support Fog/Driving Lights.

I was just looking at grills, I have one cracked one and one worn one.

Came across this, based on a 2WD grill but I kinda like it:

I like the inserts. The sport grill on mine has nothing in the open parts except for the sides. I keep thinking a honeycomb piece is missing.

Out of all the grills the STX had the best looking grill most years. The 04 style like black06xlts wasnt their best one. I agree that one didnt improve your trucks look. My favorite year grill was the 03 honeycomb. The very front of the hood changed in 04 or 05 I think so unless I want to buy a hood I'm stuck with the 6 panel.

Eventually I will meet someone or find the shop that can make a custom grill for me. I'd love something like the 2010-11 raptor grill or something like the transformer symbol stretched. So if you know someone or a shop that does grills hook us up!!!
