I was never a fan of them. But it is strictly personal taste.

I'm not either but my bed is starting to rust and I dont have the cash to redo the bed. So I figured this would be a cheap way out to get me by until I can redo my bed or find a black stepwise. Which ever comes first

Convince me to do a flat bed and you can get my red steppie back.

Would match the flares :)

I'm OK with flares, if there were 2 trucks sitting side by side one with one without I would pick the one with. I wouldn't go out of my way to retrofit unless of course I worked at a salvage yard....

Yeah when I come out to get my ST from you and bring you a ranger to swap, I can bring his bed back on a trailer :)

Wishful thinking.

Wood frame / bed can be done pretty cheap actually . I'm using all the stock mounting location to make it easy to take off if ever needed. One day when I get the many projects done I plan on a redesign that will attach to the cage that I wanna install . Course then it will be a all metal bed out of black diamond plate

I miss sometimes the look of the stock bed , I'd probably put a bseries bed on if I ever did though  . But truly love my flatbed for the fact it's so easy to load and unload stuff. Plus being so low . I damn near drive the go kart onto it with my lil ramps .

I'm also thinking about front flares on mines but a lil different style then  stock .

I am a huge flatbed fan, factory bed is a waste of space
And so fragile. Flatbed makes a truck useful
Once you go flat you never go back
You can skirt it if you do not like the flatbed “look”

The wife said no to the fender flares. But by the time she gets I'll them painted black and on the truck. She will never notice. But I do need wheel spacers now. I dont like how the flares stick out past the tires.

Going against what the wife said I went ahead and put the flares on. I'll like it even more after I put wheel spacers on

All 3 of the Rangers I have had over the years have had the flares. I like them better with then without the flares. black06xlt, I think your Ranger looks good with the flares.

dc2's are nice we have them on the FJ

The 2006 Ranger we sent home yesterday was blue, edge and had the flares I really like those flares!
Only think better then flares would be fiberglass fenders and bedsides, or pulled bedsides...otherwise the late models look nice with the flares for sure

Looks ok but I am a fan of the EDGE Flares, thinner in height and I think they stick out more; but maybe not enough to cover the rust !

How do these Flares connect to the Truck Fender ?
The EDGE Flares need a bunch of holes and then the Flares have a Snap-in Pin, which FORD doesn't like to sell separately !

The same way. But where the fake bolts are the level 2/sport flares I used stainless steel screws
