Could always jump the connector to confirm the switch is the problem before pulling it. ;)

My buddies Jeep had the same issue (I know it's not a Ranger) and it was missing a spacer like you all mentioned in here before. His solution (temporary) was to buy a set of those small stick on cabinet door bumpers from the hardware store and stick one on there. I'm sure eventually the heat/cold will make it come off, but it fixes it until he can order the neoprene spacer that's supposed to be there.

I've also heard of people welding a washer or a nut on there that way you'll never have an issue with it again.

If you were out on the road and did get rear-ended, the correct response would be, "They worked before I was rear-ended."

Because your wife isn't asking any questions and/or posting as she performs the diagnostics/repair.

I like brake lights, a lot, very handy ;) Oddly, i don't have LED's in them yet, but my new cargo light 3rd level is pretty bright already.

It's straight up a Dorman cargo light, i fitted my own LED's to the cargo sections and i already had the 3rd wire in my loom so it was plug and play.

Buggman on here does really fancy ones with a ton of LED's in them for blinding people behind you :D as well as lighting the bed ;)
