Be careful locking anything around the half shafts, the shafts are connected, it is the hubs that disengage, if they spin with something around them you can do a lot of damage.
A lot of people do the Manual Hub conversion, I would have but mine are '03, remember it is called 4 Wheel Drive, but in fact only one wheel pulls in the front and in the rear, unless you have a Limited Slip setup of some kind.
The problem I heard in the video, is the cluck, cluck, with the shaft rotation... a steady mechanical sound, you may need to disassemble the front end, remove the half shaft and then put her in 4x and listen to see if there is damage in the differential.
AND if you take it apart check out the front driveshaft, they tend to break down too.
