You should be able to just unbolt the driveshaft from the differential and slide it back out out of the transmission. As for the seal I'd go with the cheapest,but I'm a tightwad too. Mark the yoke on the differential and side of the driveshaft with chalk or marker too make sure the driveshaft is put back in the same way it came out,if you put it back in 180 degrees off from where it was it can throw the balance off and it'll shake real bad.
