Was wondering if you got the name of the headers and pictures of the truck used in the Swap you mentioned back in Mar of 2018 ?

I have some Summit Truck Headers, shorties, and I always thought they would work but alas... I have never got to the swap.

 there are some block hugging shorty headers that will work! EVEN WITH 4x4 conversions......but
You have to notch the frame rails.....

So if I cut a notch in a frame rail I like to put back more material and build a box to re enforce the area that was notched. 
It is a good option, just be prepared to do some frame work
Also you will need custom down pipes / Y pipe / what have you

 The '88 STX was that way too.
I notched the frame to fit the collector.
The headers I used were made by L&L Products, some of the best Ranger Swap Pieces I have ever seem, for that matter some of the best headers I have seen.  Thick wall tubing, thick flanges, well designed but I always thought they weren't for the '03.

 no they are not they are made for TTB trucks not the 98+ SLA IFS trucks...., there are a few differences like rack and pinion steering...... and the frames changed quite a bit where the engine cradle is and the spring/shock towers.
It sucks that you had to notch the frame to clear conversion headers made for your conversion? 
Advance adapters also sells conversion headers.... most of those conversion shorty headers were built with 2wd guys in mind.
The torque monster headers were built to clear everything without notches, including TTB trucks in 4x4. He sells a 98+ header for the IFS trucks and a conversion header for the TTB dudes. My BII was the guinea pig for the conversion headers

 TM headers take too much room, we need a short header that fits the '98 plus Rangers.

I may not need them this time around but someone has to have something !

 let me see what I can do in the next few builds to come up with something
I know there are some cheap mustang shorties that come close to fitting, maybe with one or two simple mods they can be made to fit nicely
I know there are some factory manifolds that flow really well on the 302 that you can get replicas of really cheap too
Some of the repos are made for high flow



The cheap part is so we can do some test fits without breaking the bank
a manifold like the one pictured is the most promising IMO

These might fit buy how well are 1968 289 manifolds gonna flow on a 2001 gt40 302?

 I own original set of these off a 289 HiPo, THAT was a great engine... 271 horse power, rated - 290 actual, but 305+ with a tri-power, and like the 5.0L-W it is capable of 750 horse power with a little work.



I was thinking of using them when I built the '82 Jeep, but went to eh Summit Shorty Truck Headers, had almost the same shape but tubes instead of cast iron.

If you happen to discover something I am sure all Ranger, V-8 Swap Want-a-bes will appreciate.
