You should drain the whole system, flush it a bit, and run 100% water for a few days like Madmaxx mentioned and see what happens. A good flushing might help you a great deal here. Running water for a few days will eliminate a bad mixture as the issue.

Your water temp gauge is pointing rather high for a ranger just running around, usually the needle has a hard time going past the half way mark. But the factory gauge does not mean much, even though yours is higher then I would like to see.

SO how many miles?
Does this ranger have the single core radiator?
I will assume changing the water pump, fan clutch and thermostat/housing have all been because of this issue? (points to radiator)

What been saying that needle has never moved a bit off the middle of the gauge in 4 years, this summer it wants to. Water pump was done cause when I bought the truck I added one of those warranties so the shop was doing the timing chains and we got the water pump added in as a preventative matenence thing. I had done the thermostat/flush when I first got the truck 4 years ago and because of this issue yes I put a new one in that came with the aluminum housing then bought another one and to see if I had a bad one. Fan clutch was done to see if that was a issue as well.

Yes 1 core. I linked a new radiator I found on ebay that's a 3 core, looks bad ass but I would feel better about that purchase with a higher percentage pointing to that being the issue since its $200.

Reading back through your posts it sounds like this issue started after you installed the "fail safe" thermostat?
If before the install it was cooling fine, and after it started running hotter....then logic says its likely the thermostat or thermostat housing/install
I trust Stant Super Stats and when there is a question I boil them and test them before install
Boil thermostat in water with a thermometer. At what temp does it begin to open? At what temp is it fully open? It should be fully open by 195 degrees

I skipped past the bluetooth dongle thing and attach my Android tablet to the truck with an OBDII cable, no bluetooth to mess with just a direct connection.

Ebay has a 2 core all aluminum radiator (no plastic side tanks) for less then $200............

If you are flushing the system you need to disconnect the heater core hoses and back flush in the opposite direction of normal flow.

Hey guys
Been super busy and hadn't had much time to get back to this but after 3 purchases I was able to get a working obdII reader. Seems to read around 225 when normal.
Now here is a different thing its done, one day I was traveling to a buddys house like a hour from me and its in the hills and mostly 1 lane with a few passing lanes so after a very long run behind a van a passing lane opens and I hit the passing gear to pass and I just had the fan on no a/c and all of a sudden I smelt coolant and not for sure on this but think I saw steam maybe from front of grill but doesn't seem like likely. I got around the van and slowed back down and the smell went away. I got to my friends and he has a mechanic shop next to him and talked to that guy and looked it over for me and could nothing, no leaks nothing...wtf is going here!!
Made it home and everything just fine but a few weeks later I did the passing gear again and the needle spiked to little over 3/4 way to H, had one other episode like that and have not hit the passing gear since, scared of whats going.
I picked up a pressure tester and it seems to hold fine at 16lbs. Tried a new radiator cap, new thermostat with no changes. It has cooled off a lot here so cant comment if that's still a issue as well.

My f150 work truck had a similar cooling issue this year. No visible leaks, no coolant in the oil, and no dripping under the truck. Turned out to be the intake gasket had crumbled on the firewall side and the coolant was pooling under the intake and evaporating while it was running.
