I didn't find a specific video online to help decide if I could do a compressor clutch install on my 98 2.5 Ranger. My pressures were good the last two times I checked them, the cycling switch is working, it's not leaking anywhere, the temp out the vents gets 35-40 degrees but the compressor cycles on and off all the time while driving. I checked the clutch air gap and it exceeds the .033 specified in the Ford repair manual. I put in a .035 feeler gauge and it went in with no problem. I didn't even have any higher than that. It's the original compressor with 380,000 miles on it. Two years ago I flushed out the a/c system, changed the o-rings, accumulator, orifice tube, and added new oil, vacuumed it and recharged it. I believe the clutch might be worn out. I was wondering what tools I will need to remove and install a new a/c clutch and can it be done on a 2.5 with the compressor installed or will the radiator interfere?
