Time for a new build. 98 xlt 4.0 auto. First order of business live axle conversion. With this truck I'm going to mix some old and new. I guess you could say a restomod. I love the look of a 98-00 Ranger. So I'll retain that look but with 08-11 front bumper 06-up tail lights mirrors and emblems. Stay tuned should be interesting

Live Axle... what are you thinking ?
I won't be doing the mod, it would take me too long just to think about it !

The Emblem's, are we talking the fenders, if so, what do you think about the '03 style fender emblems, just ranger, no extra metal, and can be easily painted.

I'm going to eliminate the vacuum hubs and convert it to a non vacuum hub front. I'm going to put on 06 up fender emblems. They rectangular

 ok, when you said "Live Axle" I assumed a solid axle, my mistake.

The emblems, I know what the '06 emblem looks like but to me it is too blocky.
Just thinking the '03 looks a little cleaner.

Just talking not really suggesting !

 I like the looks of the 98-2000 Rangers but I like the looks of the 06-2011 rangers. So I'm going for a restomod kinda thing. Keeping the 98-2000 look but adding 06-2011 parts. Mirrors tail lights front bumper fender flares. That sorta stuff

Swapped out the cluster and heater controls for a set of silver faced units. Also added LED dash lights

Installed a mustang dome light today. Not wired up yet. I didnt have enough connectors to wire it. That will be tomorrow's project. Got the piping at work today for the cold air intake along with the filter. Going to do a rear disc brake swap when I replace the transmission and install my Gibson cat back exhaust. Still looking for the 06-2011 mirrors and ohc.

 Easy ran a power and from the cigarette lighter to seat. The sport trac seat trcs bolted right in. I had to drill the mounting holes on the sport trac seats was the modification. Ranger seat bolts are bigger. So somewhere between 98-2006 the floor pans changed in the ranger. When I put expo seats in my 06 I had to use the ranger seat mounts but not on my 98
