Oh boy!!! I have all new trim pieces coming. I have everything except for front and rear bumpers, antenna, and mirrors. I dont think I'll install them till after 410customs works his magic this coming summer. Man I cant wait!!!

Got home tonight and checked on the truck. I had a puddle in the dtiverside footwell over an inch deal. All doors and windows were shut tight.

When I had my truck painted, I had them replace the front windshield. I guess they did just as bad of a hack job installing the new windshield as they did painting. I really hate those guys!!

Never!!dont ever do it!! Dont go to Fluerys collision center in seattle. Dont ever do it!!!

Water in the drivers floorboard can have multiple entry points. My 2001 has a really slow drip in that spot and I've never been able to isolate it. I've sealed the 3rd brake light, the windshield has been replaced twice, and the cowl drains are nice and clear and drain well. I think it's a failure in the seam adhesive that Ford used when putting the cab together. They had some seam sealer that was known to go bad after several years, getting brittle and cracking, allowing water to intrude between the panels.

I think it's a seam up on the roof, at the top rear of the drivers door, where that little plastic trim piece is snapped in. Where the rain gutters used to be on older vehicles. Though the headliner doesn't show any moisture, and none behind the seats.. These trucks leak in odd places like that. Such as the 3rd brake light letting water into the drivers floorboard, via the upper roof panels. Just bizarre.

My truck is parked level. I looked in the front and the back. The rear slider had a little water in its channel but no trace of it running down or on the floor. The water was only on the driver side under the E brake. I dont have any trees that shed needles or leaves where its parked.

Rained more today but looked like its drying out. I ran the floor/defrost on high for a while after I dried it with a towel yesterday. I need to look up under the dash and in the fresh air cab intake just to make sure it's not coming in through the vent .

Mine never leaves a single trace of where it's coming from. I've crawled in the floorboard to look under the dash with a flashlight and still can't tell where it's coming from. I'm not too worried. The frame will be long gone before the floorboard.

if the water was never there before the paint job and new windshield install and now the water is there....I would suspect the windshield
Time to get out the garden hose for some testing...

When installing a new windshield they are supposed to clean the frame fully and use a special primer before they use the adhesive. I am pretty sure they are also to take the frame down to bare metal if there is any rust, then apply the primer..
The windshield is a structural member of your cab and it must be installed properly. Leaks = not done right and they owe you a re install........

That's what I think too. The truck has a driverside swipe when I bought it. I didnt notice until I had signed all the papers and was taking it home. It had a little scuff on the back of the mirror and some light scratches. The sun had to hit it just right to see them. I raised hell thinking the lot boy wiped it out getting it ready for me. Upon further inspection it had a new fender. It still had the original factory windshield. But I replaced it because it had been sand blasted. Looked ok but if you polished it with rainX it was like trying to drive in the rain without using the wipers. I opted for aftermarket glass because of a $500 difference. I didnt shop around because I thought it made more sense to have the paint shop do it at the same time. The first time it iced up my ice scraper scratched it. I couldnt believe my eyes but.....so I'm thinking of replacing with oem glass eventually. I'm gonna keep my eye on the floor. We had record rain that day so could have a little to do with it. But I'll have to do it sooner than later if it persists. I'm not gonna let it rot my truck .

Drove 6 hours to Idaho and then drove the heck out of it around town. This is the last time I'll see it like this. This concludes this build thread. A new chapter has begun and it needs a build thread of it's own. Thank you for following along.

We had a great time exploring Idaho and visiting the shop.The meet an great was awesome!!! My nephew said it was like meeting my brother. Lol. He said we have so many of the same views and expressions. Seeing your accomplishments and where you are helped him visualize the plans I have and was a good positive experience for us both!!! It was like a petting zoo for rangers.

I've been planning this for a while, but until 410customs offered his services I had no idea how to make it a reality. He has been very helpful fleshing out my vision. Hes one cool dude!!! I hope you all follow along cause its gonna get wicked!!!
