This one defies all my normal logic. I don't usually buy red, steppie and manual but this one is all 3.

A unusually good shape bodied 98 4 door steppie in red. It will take me a week to strip all the LED's off it they are screwed in all over.

I'll follow up with pics tomorrow and a list of "features". It will be in my garage saturday.

Yes I sealed the deal. I'm going to have to poop the money somehow but will by tomorrow.

My luck Don will call me tomorrow "hey jim, you wanna buy no power?"

I'll have a ranger stable.

Here are my 19 rangers, one of which I can drive.

Yeah, 19? That is quite a collection. I had 2, up until my '98 got killed. But to be honest, if I start a collection of anything, it will be motorcycles. Currently at 3...

Heres the internet pictures of the new red one:

I see you needing 06-up mirrors and tails which I have. Maybe a dual cat back. It's a good starting point

I do need a valence no fogs.

I'm going minimal on this one, taking the spacers out and putting the aluminum rims on. I have some interior work to do someone attempted to steal the radio so the bezel needs replaced I have one.

Exhaust is good, new shocks, front brakes. I can't count the accesories will need to sit in it and look around. I did see carbon fiber shift knob, 2 X 8" subs in the back, a black amplifier on top of the subs, and an alarm system that works. He has some cool battery terminals also, aftermarket stereo stuff. Battery looks larger than normal. I bet I could get 12 out of it immediately if it runs well when I put the belt on. Thing has no dents at all that I can see. Body is in great shape.

You know how I do that? I'm dead serious, I take a fork lift, put a small length of 4 X 4 on the forks pushed together, and I lift the truck about 2 feet in the air by the side that is sagging, then jiggle it with the forks. I have a before and after of a black one I owned I did that to. So far I've done 2 cars and a ranger and it works.

Title work today, thinking about just pulling it home with a strap. You can do that in ohio legally, less than 15 feet and you need a 12 X 12 minimum white flag/rag on the rope/strap. It is less than 2 miles from my house. It is a standard so no harm to transmission.

I'll have it running tomorrow if I can get it home today. Problem is no help, wife won't do it and my son that drives is in florida.

Oh man you gotta get that sucker home!
I would so be down to strap that sucker 2 miles

I fix the bumper sag by actually loosening the bumper mounts and adjusting it HAHAHAHAHAHA sometimes washers are needed as spacers

Bracket is bent, actually both of them. No rust breakage they could be bent back properly. The truck got tapped in the back before he bought it he never fixed it.

OK Adding to this post, I found the "before and after" shots of the ranger bumper I fixed with a fork lift.

Before:

After:

Thing was rusted to crap and I am lucky it didn't fall off while I was jerking it around. Still almost 1/2" off but was well enough to sell. This one only had like 107,000 on it but was a 3.slow.

OK and now for the pron. Redrum is home and safe. My wife doesn't like red and has named it "Clifford" but I'll stick with Redrum.

First I loaded my Geo Metro on the dolly (thank you Keenan for the tip):

Backing it in to my driveway proved to be a trick.

Reminds me of Tyler on that forum that I see more and more people posting on who seem to have forgotten how effed up it was and for how long. I'm not bitter at all, nope.

Long live plasti dip. Not.

And some shots at different angles of features:

And one Dreaded Sled is going to like:

Led's everywhere including headlights and tail lights:

Battery:

Brand new front calipers, newish shocks, a lot to like about this little thing. I hope the timing belt just broke and it wasn't the cam that froze up like on my green 00 5.0 project. That would suck.

Whenever you take the wheel spacers off can you show me how they look? Like if the lugs are bent or anything warped?

I actually REALLY like the truck btw...the red looks nice
