After reading this morning through a plethora of "calibers" being stuck, "breaks" being bad, power windows listed with the crank in the first picture, automatic listed with the shifter in the first picture, "Only 250,000 miles", duel carbs, I added this guy:

:fp

Since there seems to be something wrong with the emoticon upload routine I added it manually, you can use him with "colon then fp".

Speaking of craigslist.. even the sellers are becoming flakes.. and nuts more so.

They ended up giving the truck in post 26 away! Even when I saw it for free, I didn't even consider it.

ANSWER YOUR E-MAIL CRAIGSLIST PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!

If you are not going to answer your e-mail don't make it an option! I bet I send 3 e-mails a week on craigslist ads and only get one back every once in a while, rarely and mostly never.

What is it about people who like phone calls? DON'T CALL ME text me or e-mail me so I can answer when I actually have the time. I rarely have time to hang on the phone AAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!! ANSWER YOUR E_MAILS!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, I feel better now thanks :)

^^^ Voice mail is rapidly going the way of the dinosaur and the reason is, a text or a short email is a much more time efficient method for brief communications. When I tell people around me that unless there's something uncommon occurring (ex, a behind the curve doctor or some old person calls, heck, even my doc migrated to online comm) I answer voice mail every 7-14 days. And that's a promise I keep, and I'm not the only person in my circle that does this.

*There was a really good new article a couple weeks ago that discussed the death of voicemail and the reasons. Times are changing.

I have this one tagged as "spam" because it is a really good looking 2001 ranger for 1500. But the description is interesting.......

his has the smaller Tritten 4.0L V-6 and gets decent gas Millage, It has the third row seating and all the seats are their. Factory AM/FM Cassett in dash double din with console hidden 6-disk cd changer that still works great. !!I don't know if the Casset player works because I don't have them any more but rest works great. Front and rear AC and Heat and yes they work great no issues. I just tried the AC it blows cold realy cold air..... I never use it as I stated I cut grass and that would make me sweet a lot if I used it and then cut grass. Good Tires and interior is nice but will need cleaned as I use it still to cut grass. Beginning of the year it got oil changed and a new coil pack as one was bad. I also installed new SERP. Belt and middle of last year it got new lower trailing arms and just 2 weeks ago I had them replace the upper trailing arms as they were getting rusty. Also had the rear end gear lube changed with the oil change. Had new break pads put on it all 4 wheels in November of last year. NO CHECK ENGINE Lights / NO ABS lights as everything was kept up on it. I just no longer need a big family car as kids are grown with cars of their own, My wife still has a family car so I am wanting to go back to a small Pickup truck or maybe something smaller like grand Cherokee .

Another ranger, 1900. Here's the spam specs-

ranger 4x4 auto 74ok runs and drives fine recent inspection acworks no rust needs nothing red ford ranger xlt for sale new breaks fuel efficient vehicle this amazing top quality show truck no rust serious inquiries only, don't waste my time otherwise. cd player keyless entry power windows power locks

And out of all of them the hardest to believe would be "fuel efficient"

What is a 74ok?

Did they pull the engine and swap a 1200cc/74CI from Oklahoma to make it fuel efficient?

This isn't craigslist but is almost worse being this is a professional establishment where I made a service appointment. Last time I checked "r" was not a vowel.

"
Dear James Hale,

Thank you for making an appointment at Hugh White Honda.

We look forward to seeing you on 6/14/2018 at 7:15:00 AM
for your service appointment.

If you have requested an rental vehicle please bring your drivers license, proof of insurance and a credit card.
Thank you for allowing us to service your vehicle at Hugh White Honda."

After careful consideration, I have decided against pursuing this one:

"I have a 99 Ranger, looking to sell ASAP. Shoot me an offer, asking 1600 OBO.

It's been sitting since spring, it does start and run. Needs clutch slave cylinder replaced, grinds when you shift. You can actually drive, just don't use the clutch.

I've done a lot of work but quite frankly im moving and don't need it. Has brand new 31" tires cost me 700+, new timing chain, lower intake gasket, entire front suspension with moog parts, new centric pads and rotors, rear new shocks, new centric drums, shoes, hardware, and cylinder.

Needs slave cylinder, seat belts, and cleaned. A Cat got in and stunk it up, body is okay, paint is peeling."

I like the 'normal' stuff in there, and the 'omg' stuff just inserted randomly into the advert.

I have been playing email tag with a Craiglist advertiser that has a 99 Mountaineer v8 AWD with 96k miles for $1500 about 50 miles away. From the pics it looks to be a jewel. I keep getting "I am working a double shift today", "I am too busy the next few days", or "I am not feeling well today".

That doesn't necessarily mean it is BS. The truck my son is driving the guy said his wife couldn't find the title and I thought he was a scammer.

A few weeks later he texts me saying his wife found the title. He had it advertised as an 89 I believe with a 4 cylinder. It ended up being a 2002 with a 3.0. Some people are just stupid.
