The torque monster headers are so hard to get, this set will go way over 1000 before the auction is over. If you would have bought 100 sets of torque monsters when they were available it would be like a good investment in the stock market these days.

I forget what the last set we tracked went for.. they were used and abused and still sold for a simply amazing amount of money.

There are only 3 sets of headers without altering I know of that will fit the GT40P heads in a ranger/explorer. I couldn't find the torque monsters AT ALL when I was buying mine but found a set of FMS headers from an explorer dude that replaced them with... torque monsters. I paid more for my headers than the donor vehicle for my V8.

Just checked the old beat up set went for $960 so I'm guessing over 1200 for the new set.

1200 is normal for good headers in the lightning world. So I guess it's not shocking to me

When I first heard about Monster Header, guessing 6 or 7 years back, I thought they cost too much, you guys are saying over a grand...  WTF is happening !
Are the Monster Headers still inproduction ?If so, what is the retail price ?
Stop production for a while... a great way to decrease availability and  increase the price, what the market will bear.
Why won't a set of shorty headers work ?

Hey guys, looks like robert is back in business at Torque monster, the page is taking orders and the price has changed. The e-bay dude might have a harder time selling them if this is true. I sent him an e-mail and are looking for his facebook right now to see if it is true. I know 2 years ago there was a "not currently available" where the order forms are now. This is great news IMO I would have bought a set in a second if I didn't already own FMS headers.

Due to the "unique" clearance issues with the 98 to 2000 5.0 swaps using GT40P heads (the spark plugs actually come out straighter than the GT40 heads) the torque monster headers were the only ones that addressed all the clearance problems without modifying anything. The tubes are longer than my FMS headers but I have never seen an actual dyno comparison between the TM's and the FMS.

OBX had a short run of a torque monster clone but those became unavailable really quick.. I wonder if they got sued and that put a spark under Robert's butt to start the welding again. In search of the story.
