Helo,

I am looking for a Battery Cover for my Mitutoyo, Digital Calipers, Series 500-322, Serial #: 7072754.

First off, the Battery Covers on the Web, MFR #: 09GAA185, that are called out as replacements for these Calipers will not work, the locking device on the cover has changed.  I have five of the 09GAA185, tried to mod one but without success, still working on it periodically.

So I am here asking anyone that may have a Cover of the older type to please respond with a price, condition, and availability !

If you happen to have a broken older Mitutoyo Digital Caliper, any length, within the 500-322 series, and you want to sell it please let me know.

Thanks for the link but they are the ones that don't fit; they're suppose to but NOT !

Not sure why they changed, but I have a few of them and attempted to mod one without success; still going to check it out but for now I am using the Blue Tape to hold the battery in place.

All lengths have the same Digital readout, and in turn the same Battery Cover, so IF you happen to have one laying around I would appreciate it !

Here's my oldest one, if it fits I will look for one that fits this. There are a couple tool repair places we deal with once a month.

First thanks.

How about taking the cover off and get a few pics of the back and sides... I can see if it matches up to the wrong ones.

I appreciate your help !

I have a great pair of 8" Mitutoyo Digital Caliper and no cover... sucks; the Blue Tape doesn't always hold !

Also, if you contact your Repair House, make sure to use the Model and Serial Number when asking about the Cover, somehow the Serial Numbers come into play for parts.

Agina Thank You,

Found a Mitutoyo Digital Caliper 0-8" On-Line... they are used but in great condition.

Got them for cheap considering they work and the better than I thought condition.

I only purchased it for parts so I am way a head right now.

Thanks for the help !

I have thrown them away before :? sorry

Hey, Merry Christmas !

I found a Digital Caliper, CD-8, now my spare, and I am using the Battery Cover from the second unit for the first.

Now I need some spares !

I am repeating the original post :

"I am looking for a Battery Cover for my Mitutoyo, Digital Calipers, Series 500-322, Serial #: 7072754.

First off, the Battery Covers on the Web, MFR #: 09GAA185, that are called out as replacements for these Calipers will not work, the locking device on the cover has changed.  I have five of the 09GAA185, tried to mod one but without success, still working on it periodically.

If you happen to have a broken older Mitutoyo Digital Caliper, any length, within the 500-322 series, and you want to sell it please let me know."

Thanks to all for reading and I hope I can find a few of these Calipers, old throw away, damaged and not usable, or you just want to throw out the junk.

Merry Christmas to all and to all Please Stay Safe this Season !

Mitutoyo has a factory located in Kirkland, Washington. Have you tried contacting them directly? I got a tour when I was traing to be a machinist.

Yup, been in contact with Mitutoyo !

They told me to use the model that doesn't fit... funny they would do that.

When I went back to them, I was told my set was too old, deal with it !
I was trying to deal with it by going to the factory but... if I didn't own them I wouldn't buy from them again.
Brown and Sharpe is was always my go to when working !

Looks like I may have to use a piece of tape with the old cover.
