Looking to buy a 2004 to 2006 Steering wheel with cruise control.

As good of condition as possible, but at this point I am not picky. Leather is a plus, yet not a must.

If it comes with an airbag that has had the recall done, even better!

What I am willing to pay depends on the condition and options, but I am willing to pay what it takes.

Did I mention, whoever sells me the steering wheel gets a set of 2007 Level 2 Tow Hooks shipped to them for FREE

Going to bump this up. For a leather wrapped steering wheel I am prepared to trade a set of Level 2 J tow hooks. Any bites now, or will I have to post pictures next?

Yeah, they are hard to come by. Got my '04 leather on eBay. I check occasionally, but I don't see any.

So much Carbon Fiber! Love your interior though.

On another note

A steering wheel has been found and I am no longer looking.

Thanks! There is actually a little less CF right now. I took it off of the radio bezel, as I wasn't really happy with how it had turned out. Took it off when I installed the disable switch for my parking assist system. I may re-do it or go a different route. CF is a real pain to work with.

Can the switch blanks be popped out of the current steering wheel so the switch packs can be installed?

If so, I've got a set of switches and the clock spring I've no use for at all that you're welcome to.

I'm not sure how that works on the '04 to '06 wheel. The only one I have experience with is the one I put on my truck (with the switches).

mhoward,

I was hoping to get a picture of the Carbon Fiber from the passenger side but I guess not.  did you have the Door Switch Panels done too ?

I have been thinking about doing CF for a while, just no time and I found a Shop Local to me that does it !

Why didn't you like the CF, you said it was hard to work with but why ?

Also, to all,

Is there an aftermarket Steering Wheel that has the CC built in and would work on a Ranger ?

Maybe there is a way to add switches, not particularly OEM Ford ?

Sorry, didn't know you were interested in that.  Here's a couple of shots from the passenger side:

I have not done the door switch panels.  Actually, this spring I intend to remove all the CF vinyl and do something else.  It just isn't worth the effort.  Check out posts by NewShockerGuy... he has done a bunch of CF and it looks awesome.  I just can't master the damn stuff! LOL

I don't know of any aftermarket steering wheel that has cruise pods installed. If you did that, you would lose your air bag in the process.

Unfortunately the wheels are completely different, see photo below:

Speaking of 04+ steering wheels, I assume your new one arrived?  How does it look in person? It looked REALLY nice in the pics. :)

It is incredibly beautiful! No signs of wear (or that it has ever been installed) and it feels way better than I expected. I want to install it but have a potentially high risk bag from a 2004.

I actually thought about buying it myself. Mine is near perfect, but the upper portion is pretty slick... none of the leather texture left. Just couldn't justify buying another when mine was just fine. Besides, I knew you needed/wanted one! :)
