There is a guy here in columbus selling a chrome set but I haven't seen the plastic ones. Shipping would be expensive but I'm on craigslist daily looking at ranger parts I'll let you know if anything pops up.

Yes, those ones you're looking for are a ever so slight chance or opportunity to find anymore. Only thing we could suggest is checking in with a dealer or making a call into http://www.fordparts.com and see if they can't find a dealership / Ford parts warehouse, ( I believe there is 11 majors across the US) sitting on a pair in their stock rooms.

If you get no where with that, we do offer a few from Bushwacker, Lund, and a couple others specific brands to our line card that may interest you. We'll do our best to get as close to the styling you're after as possible. If not from us, we can refer you to others with deeper connections.

Let us know.

Mostly due to failure to spend the time to prep the surfaces correctly and or they were likely damaged in some way and never addressed until they attached themselves to chasing traffic.. then it became a   product/job. lol

Yeah, i figured that would be the case, though i've seen some reviews saying the cap left the adhesive strip on the bed rail...

Any recommendations for clean looking aftermarkets?

These were available as a factory option for only a year or two, possibly 2002MY only. That's why you may have a hard time locating a used set.

Ford was rather creative in the sense of taking two products and making one with the exception I've never seen anyone with those particular raised rails with a tonneau cover yet either.

They took the idea of a raised bed rail from the likes of Putco/Lund/Westin and there are others too:

And made it more of a solid form with a bed cap aspect to it.

Again as others have said and I believe I mentioned earlier too, only a dealer item. Closest we have for a bed rail cap setup is a smooth and a faux diamond plated style which I've never seen anyone buy unless actual aluminum diamond plate.

But if you're looking for a good quality cap to protect those bed rail tops or clean up some already scratched ones. These dual secured pieces from Bushwacker are a great replacement. Not only do they have the tight tolerances of fitment to make the truck look like it came with them. It has a under the rail clip system so just in case, Madmaxx there wont get a set of free bed rails following you anywhere. JK MadMaxx

We offer them as a complete set w/tailgate cover too or just the sides with or without stake pocket holes. Some people use them, some people try to hide them. I dont have them listed on our site but should you want to see the diamond plated ones, I can pull a hi-res pic for your review as well.

BedRail Cap for Ford/Mazda Ranger (93-11)

Thanks for keeping us in mind.

Gah, the Bushwacker stuff is tempting, i wish it didn't go down the side of the bed so much, or that the fact they're made 30 minutes from me would mean i could get them more cheaply! ;)

Still unsure (other than clipping system) why the Wade and another brand are only $60 though.

Still unsure (other than clipping system) why the Wade and another brand are only $60 though.

The TPO based product of the Bushwacker is same material impact resistant bumpers are made from, cost for something better in materials, non-fade, white-chalking resistant, not to mention the better mounting system and likely thicker materials and the cleaner looks.

Although I can get Westin products too, your basically getting ABS plastic. Aesthetically the Wade ones dont look as nice, in fact despite Westin making a great product in general, I feel they really cheapened out on these. See for your self.

Wade Bed rail caps

Compare the two, Even Bushwacker did quite a bit more to present there product even better on their website in comparison with Westin/Wade to show real details, both of product and all the pertinent information for someone to make an informed decision.

EDIT: Also take note that the Wade product runs a single strip of 3M tape down their unit vs the multiple gripping surfaces and again, the clip system.. If your concern was opportunities of coming lose, a single strip isn't going to be that helpful vs multiple strips grabbing in several areas long the length of the Bed rail Cap.

Yeah, it's clearly a better product, i wouldn't mind finding some better looking pics of the Bushwacker though, i'd just prefer a cap, not a glove, so to speak?

Am i right in saying it comes down the outside more than any other cap, including OEM?

Wow, it's amazingly hard to find Rangers with the Bushwacker caps on.

I took a picture of my bed rails today and was trying to work out why the Bushwacker pics make it look like they (almost) reach down to the arches.

The ridge/body crease would be way too low - anyway, managed to find someone who put hem on their similar aged truck, and they look way smaller/normal than the media shots suggest.

Any thoughts on diamond plate and stake holes (which i have, but don't use)
