Rising Opportunities..

For over a year now, we have been asked every conceivable question of when, WHEN will we be offering a Rock-Rail or a set of Rock-Sliders for a SINGLE-CAB Ford Ranger for the '93-11 years. So I am coming to the various Ford Ranger communities reaching back out to all of those who questioned and stomped their feet demanding a set of Rock-Sliders for their Single Cab rigs and trucks?

I am going to be boldly honest, pricing I am not going to get to deep into right now. What I will tell you is to expect them to be competitively priced when Off-SALE.

What we want to do is find all the people who spoke of interest that we need and can help support us in an endeavor to bring a increasingly asked for product. We have the availability and means of a production opportunity on a larger scale handmade here in the U.S. by American tradesmen.

As for the basics;

The rocker panel is one of the most vulnerable areas on your Ranger when driving offroad. Factory steps and aftermarket nerf bars look nice but are made of thin material and are typically mounted to the body which won't do much to protect your truck.

These rock sliders are going to be extremely strong. They'll be constructed of 2" square tube with a 0.1875" wall and 1.75" x .0.120" wall DOM round tubing. They bolt directly to the frame using 1/4â€ thick, gusseted mounting plates that tie into both the side and bottom of the frame. This nets you a stronger frame attachment vs. simply bolting to the side of the frame. They make great Hi-Lift jack lift points and will easily withstand impacts from any obstacle you may come across on the trails.

The optional dimpled tread plate adds a formed plate that bridges the gap between the outer round tube of the rock slider and the main square tube. Once welded in place, the tread plates increase the rigidity of the sliders as well as act as traction aids, making the sliders more functional as steps. The standard sliders can be used as steps but you're only stepping on a single piece of 1.75" round tubing. The tread plates add to the style and finish of the rock sliders as well. Both options are angled up at 30*.

Weight: 59-67 lbs each

Any other specifics we do not have just yet.

But to make these worth doing, on a production level during times like they are, semantics aside; this is about the engagement of commitments and interests.

UPDATE::
Looking to put the wheels in motion on this.. and take it from a napkin based conceptual idea and put it into a production phase.
So we wanted to follow up to see what interests if any may be in the community here. Gearing up for the opportunity is there, and we will be putting together a group buy program to kick-start this off in the right communities. Participation is the key here. Been around awhile, especially in this community and others. If people aren't looking for something you have, it's not a viable product to bring to fruition or platform sometimes.
We have a few communities we're reaching out to, so it's not all on this community alone.

The required minimum order to do a group buy that we were given was 18-20 units, Specifically 1998-2012 firstly. We're NOT the type to do bare minimums. Nothing worse than being told a minimum of anything to do, and then setting that as an actual goal of achievement, as if that's the best we could do. We would like to see that interest range into the 30's or more for our first production run in hopes that we actually make the first run worthwhile in material costs, material delivery fees, community discounts to all interested, best quality in craftsmanship and materials, and the overall future product interest of the community as a whole. If those numbers are where we need and want in commitments across all the communities as a whole. We should be able to reach our goals, our biggest being we want to deliver highest quality on our return and exceed perceived value at the end of the day.

Out of the gate, this example should be an approximation of what a retail factor may look like, there will be additional shipping and as you would all know that may vary however. We have learned ways to try and save in this area where we can to continue to cut a few dollars out of the cost without sacrificing quality of delivery services whether LTL or Private Carrier like FedEx Freight.
Let me personally clarify that with volume, the goal is to achieve better than minimum volume, deliver a higher quality product, and make it worthwhile for all. We are not looking to do a limited production run, this will be an ongoing production product afterwards.., unless somehow ALL Ford Rangers South of an EV based vehicle are banned forever in America.

OK, first this is the first time I have seen this Thread, sorry ! I've been e-mailing you for a while but didn't know about you have finally offered them.

I was hoping for more than one style or the picture below more than others (for a single cab), but the numbers may not be there.

This is the one I was interested in, will any other styles be made once the prototype has been approved by the Ranger Community or I'm I grabbing at straws again ?

Thanks for the update but more info is needed.

From the talk I think we need mounting and material data, please ! To included wall thickness on all pieces, and the overall length of unit !

AND as I posted before I don't want a straight Slider I want the HD Slider under the body attached to only the frame... and I want the end by the bed to have the protruding step... i.e. the picture.

The overall slider needs to go wheel well to wheel well and be fully supported by the frame not the body, it is suppose to be there to protect the body.
Also, the pictures you posted are the new Ranger so the impact is far less than you probably wanted !

Last thing... PRICING !

Where do we stand, I heard you are asking big money for something smaller than most that are sold for far less and not as heavy duty as we want.

Please post more data on the actual part , the materials used, and pricing ?

The design plan was for a Single Cab only at this point because by the numbers it is the Ford Ranger Variant most ignored by the industry..

Unfortunately the version you showed an image of is made by another manufacture that is been around for the better part of 33 years making such Rock-Sliders specifically. They ran their own numbers, looked at ours and crunched them and came out to the determination that its probably not the time to serve the Ranger community because the time for the vehicles in question are limited to N. America and in such taking into consideration the amount of traffic generated in the aftermarket world concerning 93+ Ford Rangers. The market support just isn't there unlike many much older vehicles like Land Cruisers, Toyota's, Land Rovers, even other Fords. This isn't the first time they have had to face this decision for 3rd - 5th gen Ford Rangers.

They denied a proposal to manufacture for us.

Really didn't expect the other Slider to be made for one vehicle but considering what I have read about these you are offering for the single cab Rangers I won't be buying a set.

I have a local fab shop that makes Extra-Heavy-Duty Sliders for around the $600 mark, with easy modification to fit the Ranger single cab... wheel well to wheel well; I guess I'm back to them.

Brotha, the Sliders in this post has been always about the introduction of a SPECIFIC slider made for the "Standard Cab", because outside of a custom set.., No-One offers/or was willing to offer them in a production sense like what we want to do. Not sure where the confusion or disconnect was in that. The complaint was they did not offer a Single Cab option, which over the last year or so several people keep asking, now we're trying to bring it to a production based product.

For the Super Cab's, or extended cabs as they are sometimes termed, we already have a set, by our key manufacture Flat out, with the rear flare out before the rear wheel, with an Industry first lifetime warranty, included textured powder coating, meant for the Super/Extended cabs, as seen here:

I guess my assumption has been you had a single cab, also waiting for an opportunity to have a production based set of Rock-Sliders made for it, to which a "Kick-Slider" may be too short of a wheel base to look aesthetically correct to many. Not that it wouldn't be a considered option but we are neither here or there to know yet.

Now without trying to sell you something you'd don't trust or would ideally want for that matter because you're uncertain about the overall mounting methodology, that is perfectly acceptable and that is free marketing at its best. Not every customer opportunity out there is meant to be our customer, and to be honest, if you have a doubt in a specific product we offer, I really don't want to sell you that particular product because if I don't have an option you like and trust, I'd rather find one that you do even if not with us.

Again,.. The point of the Original Post was and had been about an offering for a "Standard Cab option" only because it has been a high requested item and was not within our wheelhouse of products.
