Think your job sucks.... sure the view is exquisite. but youll grow weary of it once it sinks in that you have to take all the old chimney down and bring up all the new stuff. If it wasnt just you it wouldnt be too bad. It's a half a football field from the truck to the base of the scaffolding and another 30 feet up. Normally I wouldnt mind but this week none of the apprentices are showing up. It's been just me. Had borrow a lead for today and he wasnt thrilled about the temporary laborer duty. Could of sworn I worked my way up to a skilled position but lately I think I've done more of the humpin and hauling than the young guys. Ugh...

My wife is visiting her girl friend in north Jersey this weekend & I am by myself so I decided to take a ride to the beach, since it is only a 15 minute ride. The ocean looks a little rough.

I helped some buddies that are into competition BBQ today http://www.rocknribville.com

I made some BBQ sauces that were used in the competition. They were a tangy spicy-sweet east TX based,  North GA vinegar based, and a South GA mayonnaise based sauces. We also had a mustard based sauce that somebody else made. The recipes I provided are regional recipes that I have tweaked except for the Texas recipe which was my grandfathers.

I also spent about 4 hours on smoker duty keeping the hickory smoke flowing at 200-225 degrees. I just found out we got first in the chicken and second in the brisket. We placed 9th in pulled pork and did not place in the ribs.

I have a bounce in the rear of the truck when braking. I've replaced the parking brake pads (rear discs) a year ago when I bought the truck but the discs and regular pads haven't been changed by me.

I wonder if the rear discs are warped? I have new shocks so I'm not sure what else could be causing the bounce. I only notice it when braking. No issues in the front, though I've replaced the discs and pads.

I would say replace the rear disc rotors & the pads.

It usually isn't warped rotors, what it actually is tends to be uneven transfer of pad material to the rotor.  They then give the pulsed feel, the vibration and bounce that is associated with warped rotors.  But around here finding a place that will turn them is a problem.  So I actually replace the fronts on my wifes Subaru just because of this.  But I would be thinking rotors.

Thanks guys, my thoughts exactly. It was a Virginia truck, then in Canada before that. Luckily it had the tar-like underspray so theres not much rust. But the brakes are kind of rusty. Im sure that helps the out of balance feeling.

Good "cold" morning to everyone. It is 17° & sunny this morning, at least the storm is staying to the south of us. Sorry to those farther south that are getting the storm but is probably mostly rain where if it was up here with the temps that they are would be all snow & it is to early for that much snow, it is not even Winter yet by the calendar.

I'm glad it's in the southeast. My son is driving to St. Louis today, and back in the middle of the week.

Interdasting...I can see it, but then it is my post.  Fucked his Ranger up, grill, rad support, front bumper both air bags.  My hitch took almost all of it on my end.  Pushed the bumper in a little on passenger side, just put a  little crease in the rear quarter.

Ha!  Man, this Ranger was my old one.  My son killed it.  263,000 miles on the 2.5l and the original clutch.  Was a good little truck, we got our moneys worth out of it over the years!

Oh sorry, I was trying to fix your image so I looked in your gallery. I assumed this was the image. It looks like you described. Lol
