That's me.  And running is just so boring.  So I stick to the elliptical at the gym.  AC, they have TV's is that is your thing, but I use my tablet for reading.  85lbs down so far

I personally like running or walking better than the gym equipment just because I like it outside. But that's just me.

I have been blessed thus far with decent health and can still as of today get around pretty good for 57.

Running is only as boring as you make it.  I run in areas with good scenery.  I used to only run with my wife so we used that time to converse.  I now run alone a lot(or with my dog when i am back in washington).  So i trail run in a few state parks here.  I listen to podcasts and just run.

Personally trail running while listening to music is 100x better than pounding away on an eliptical or treadmill while mindlessly watching tv.

Back in my younger days I loved to run but with my health issues, even walking very far is hard to do,if I run 20 ft. I'm done for awhile.

I got my Father's Day call from my daughter early today. It is always good to hear from her. I had just finished putting a rack of baby back ribs on the smoker.

The ribs were in a brine/marinade of salty water, white wine, apple cider vinegar, and mustard overnight. They got a coating of Memphis' Central BBQ rub before they went on the rack. I am using apple wood for the smoke. I will keep them in the smoke for about 2 hours and then wrap the ribs in foil and throw them in the oven at 200 degrees for another 5 hours. The meat should be at the point to where is just falling off the bone.

98,012 to be exact. Could be a new dd or a donor for my black truck. The 4.0 is nice but I think the 5.0 would be bad ass

Would be a lot easier putting it in a 98-00 than a 06 for like 1000 reasons.

I got a Nashville Predators "SMASH" ball cap from my daughter. She is a huge fan of the Predators. I did some contract work on the hockey post season and I worked the satcom uplink in Nashville. I invited my daughter to the satcom van pre game so she could see all of the feeds and pulled a few strings borrowing credentials so she could go behind the scenes during the period breaks. She was able to watch some of the games from the tunnels but she caught most of it in the van with 6 different feeds of the action.

I am sitting here watching Mr. Majestyk with his 68 F-100. To be a totally stock F-100 it did some amazing stunts.

When I was in my late teens I had a 72 F-100 that had over 200K with the original engine that blew and I dropped a built 351W in it (circa 1980). I did end up replacing the transmission and 3rd member shortly after the engine transplant. That was by far the toughest truck I have ever owned.

I took the wife for a ride across the dam and around Lake Lanier on the ElectraGlide this afternoon. While we were gone something went berserk with the ice machine in the fridge. The kitchen was covered with water and it had leaked though to the basement and we had a big puddle down there.

There was a piece of ice hung up in the tray and the system was adding water overflowing the tray running through the ice with most of the water flowing out the door but about two gallons had accumulated inside the bottom of the freezer. When I opened the door I got a wave of water and thawing food.

I shut off the water valve and grabbed my shop vac. I sucked up as much water as I could upstairs and then did the same downstairs. I spent 2 hours drying up the mess.

While I was vacuuming up the water my wife was transferring everything from the kitchen freezer to my shop fridge. I cleaned and wiped everything down inside the freezer and pulled the ice maker. I dried it off with my heat gun and reinstalled it and started everything back up. It has been 9 hours and it has dropped one cycle of ice 4 hours ago and has a frozen trey of ice but it has not moved since.

I have priced a replacement ice maker on-line. It is $39 with $10 shipping. If the ice maker is not working by tomorrow it looks like I will be getting a new one.

As I was finishing this rant it dropped the second load of Ice. I may get out of this without having to get a new ice maker. I will see in the morning.
