concentrically mounted clutch slaves. Given they don't always last 300k miles its pretty bullshit that I have to remove the whole transmission to replace what took 30 minutes on my last car. Not looking forward to bleeding it either as I've heard plenty of horror stories.

Got it all out. Replacing everything in the bellhousing, the clutch master cylinder, the egr valve (nightmare on the duratecs unless the transmission is out), the cheap coolant line that has the plastic tee that likes to crack, new atf, and putting a new shifter bushing kit in up top.

I didn't have a problem with the transmission- I just do a lot of long trips and I'm pretty sure the last owner did a lot of city driving. I wanted to replace the slave because I don't want to be 1500 miles from home when it goes and you can't really tell when.

And since I had to pull the tranny, might as well freshen everything else up and as well change the cooling line with a plastic tee that likes to break but either requires the transmission or exhaust to be removed in order to change.

I hear you on automatics, but its sort of 6 eggs or half a dozen: manuals need to be pulled for clutch stuff but will go 300k+ miles before needing a rebuild while I've seen plenty of autos start slipping at 150k when the PO didn't do proper fluid changes. Manuals are cheaper to rebuild as well and I can rebuild them on my own- this is the main reason I got a manual instead of an auto.

Anyways, sorry to blabber on...

Very good thank you. We got the BB ribs, brisket, & pulled pork combo dinners. My favorites are the pulled pork & the BB ribs. We ate as much as we could & brought the rest home for another meal or two.

I'm still hungry thinking about it! The best place for good BBQ is 35 miles away in Mt. Vernon were I work. On occasion, my wife and son will drive there and meet me after work to have a great dinner on a Friday evening. Thinking we are overdue for that! :)

The fog was so thick here last night that we couldn't see the field behind our house. Cameron turned on his flashlight and you could see the beam so clearly. Moisture in the air was like breathing under water.

Glad to see the forum back in action, was starting to worry it got shut down.

In other news gonna see some spring like weather next week, going to see temps in the 60s, way better than 40 and rainy like I've seen for the last month.

Good Afternoon everyone, 28° cloudy & breezy here. It was lightly snowing when I left work one hour ago. Speaking of work wooooohooooooooo done for the weekend. It is supposed to be very cold here this weekend so I will probably spend most of the weekend in the garage finishing up the f/e lighting on the Mustang.
