Dang eddie pictures like that on this screen will get me slapped by my gorgeous beautiful loving wife!! I closed my eyes and scrolled it off the screen quickly :) You single dudes are trouble! LOL
Been spending time with the family, spent the morning doing long division w my son, successful homeschool day #5.
3 kids, 8. 10 and 11
My wife has been handling all their curriculum coordinating with the teachers, etc
I'm the math teacher and principal
So far its actually alot of fun. The kids say we have a better playground then the school!
Long division I can handle, I do math everyday. Eddie Money was saying something about having to divide paradactyles or some crap...I made it through advanced algebra in High School and some Calculus and I never remember any of that! Sounds like a dinosaur?!?! Maybe hes just messing with me :)
Anyways we got our supplies, another $350 at the wal mart today, weekly trip to town to get supplies, everyone pretty much staying 6' away from each other but very polite.
Picked up a new 3 bolt gear reduction starter (rock auto delivery) for my 97 F350 7.3 truck, the starter failed on me twice in the last month, once in the middle of the dump, and once at the gas station! So embarrassing! Its a stick so we were able to pop the clutch and fire her up. Looking forward to installing that starter, I love my flatbed turbo diesel F350 and she has been snowed in all winter
The v8 truck is sold, but I have a few things to tidy up before delivery, including a new windshield tomorrow. Still doing our part to stimulate the economy. Glass place still open....for now.
The v6 truck is running well but is giving me a Po1451 code....Evac system issue, on rangers i hear sometimes its in the wiring near the fuel tank. My plan is to remove the canister purge and canister vent solenoids, ohm each one. Then test the wiring between them. Once this code is gone the v6 truck will get detail and posted up for sale!
Next onto Eddies 07 Ranger again...we have a clear direction for the front suspension, gears, lockers and parts...so I have begun to order the next round of goodies :)
Of course the FJ cruiser needs tires this summer and I have some new Metal Tech rear UCA to install, help correct her rear suspension geometry from running so much lift :)
I have more parts to install on the F350, all new front brakes, since I caught them on fire last summer hauling brick with my neighbor the front brakes have been "touchy"
The bulldozer has two leaking hydraulic rams, one is squirting fluid like a fountain so I have to remove those and take them in to get rebuilt
We are adding onto our house this summer, I have been drawing up plans for that....should be interesting a 2 story addition. Once all the snow is gone I will start digging the holes for that (pole building)
the excavator is now melted out (no more snow around it) I plan to fire her up for the first time since winterize and start putting in some culverts on our road, there are about 6 spots that need ditches, culverts so the water does not wash our road away.
the Excursion has 220K miles on it now and shes been used hard (16 one way trips hauling heavy trailers from CO to ID just to give a clue) the turbo needs rebuilt and the injectors need to be re ringed. Put that on the to do list for this summer also
The van has a rusty body and the bondo is starting to fall off...so the search for a replacement body is on.... I plan to do a 4x4 conversion at the same time as a frame/body swap....should be interesting, please send $$$$. 2001 E350 7.3 going dana 50 ttb 4x4
I also have a 1978 Argo 6x6 and trailer project I have been meaning to get to.......we shall see about that. Might get set aside for another year...
There maybe that daily blog will hold you over for a bit @Eddiemoney , welcome to my "la vida loca"
Hang in there everyone. China is lifting their lock down on April 8? have faith this thing will blow over quickly...especially if we all do our part.
I am still running around town doing errands and such but I am very careful, wipe down anything your gonna touch, don't touch anything you don't need to, don't touch your face, keep your distance and be courteous. And for heavens sake if you have pre existing conditions, feel any sort of fever or shortness of breath, have somebody else run the errands!!
The family is playing zombies together right now, COD Infinite warfare....it has been a while since we all sat down together and did that! Some good can come out of the bad !!!
