Bed spaces can easily and quickly be generated - they have put in a 500 bed emergency hospital in London in 2 weeks and will expand it as needed up to 4000 beds. More are going in to other cities.

The issue is staffing them, they need 4 staff per bed (2 shifts per day) - it takes so long to train doctors and nurses, you can't just whistle them up. You want a resilient health service? You have to pay for it!

Exactly.  When I referred to 'bed space' staff, equipment, and floor space is what I meant.  People are willing to spend when they need it.  The rest of the time they will resist.  People in general are dumb panic tending creatures.

The world has gone mad, conspiracy theories abound, people are tweeting total rubbish and others are burning down 5G telephone masts because someone said they spread the virus. Everyone is an "expert" but the truth is simply we do NOT know enough about this virus and it is acting like a vacuum that people just have to fill with something.
Chill out and just get on with life, we are a LOOOOONG time dead. Rant over.

When I went to the store today, about 25% of the people had either a cheap dust mask or some kind of rubber gloves. You can't reach and get the spaghetti sauce because Mrs. dustmask and gloves is standing there wondering if she needs garlic and herbs or fresh mushroom and is less than 6 feet away.

The lobby where the carts are kept smells like a hospital from the disinfectant.

I was so shaken by what I saw I locked my keys in my car (Ranger without electric locks) and walked home.

I stay 6 feet away not because I'm afraid of the virus I don't want the masked people thinking I'm going to infect them.

It is crazy.

Now Microsoft wants to inject us with nanobots.

There is a lot of disinformation and misinformation out there.

Masks can help tremendously.  Yes people are wearing dust masks, but they do help.  Gloves really only help if you change them.  If you get the virus on your gloves and touch your face, you get it like a real asshole.  Gloves are not to stop the virus getting into you through your skin, your skin stops it already.

There is nothing wrong with some place cleaning.  In fact I applaud it.  More places and people should clean more.

Persoanlly I don't give a   what other people are doing, if it makes them feel better, that's fine.  If you give me the virus because you are a disp  and it gets to me Dad, I will come back to visit you late at night when you are asleep.

Decades away from nanobots.  But at one time people were outraged that they were going to stop bleeding people with leeches...

They gave us a paper that says the standard bullshit about working at an 'essential' company blah blah blah.  Last I checked you don't need 'travel papers' in America...

Yeah, I haven't been stopped yet.  I see a LOT of vehicles that you just know aren't coming or going to an "essential" function such as work or grocery.

They shut the border down to Florida. Supposedly they are only letting people with Florida drivers licencees or a CDL across the border. Besides the interstates there are hundreds of 2 lane roads in south Georgia and Alabama that go across Florida state lines. I know of two roads that are dirt roads. With the wet weather one of them is not passable as it skirts the western edge of the Okefenokee.

The people it is going to hurt the most is the meth labs. There is a lot of crystal that usually is sent north that is stuck in Florida. The Florida man can only do so much.

And how did that go?

If you relax and use lots of lube it doesn't hurt too bad

Just kidding, it was fine, they were pretty chill. Just asked drivers licence and a couple questions, didn't need paper from work(yet).

Now travel between capital and regions and even between some counties is banned and we need a paper from work. And the officer said "official" travel papers supposedly aren't that far off but I havem't heard anything about that.

They also "started" to track geodata(location) on phones. Don't need a Warrant under the National Health Emergency Act or whats it called

We haven't reached the travel papers level yet either, although I do have a paper from work on company letterhead stating that we are a transportation and medical supplier, so therefore "essential".  I also have some of my business cards and my employee ID badge for proof of who I am (in relation to my work).  So far, LEO doesn't give me a second look.  As for geo-location off mobile phones, you know they've been doing that for years, right?

I can go anywhere, as long as I am driving the school bus...

I have a CDL and that is also golden regardless of what I am driving. I am supposed to pick up a motorcycle with the rollback this afternoon. It's a BMW that will not crank and is overdue for a service. So Bemmer guy will be paying $200 extra for a service and battery. That $100 for me! :)

Oh yeah, that's why I put started between " ".
It just now they're saying outright they can and will do it and don't need a warrant. And not only the feds or provincial anymore, local police too

Police state indeed
I am not impressed
I mean they spent 6.5 trillion and counting talking about how 1.5 million Americans will die from this..... Then it was 240,000 Americans, and the spending continued.
Now do not get me wrong, the covid 19 virus is scary, the way it is transmitted and the way it behaves, but we have fought worse without shutting down the economy and taking away rights.
As I said not impressed, now it is almost as if they MUST HAVE their numbers so they can justify their actions. I am not buying it.
Look at the numbers........the flu takes more people each year....
The covid has potential to last a long time and wipe out alot more people, but we also have the potential to stop it with drugs and treatments, possibly a vaccine.
As of today 04/07 there are 10,980 deaths in the USA, that will likely double or triple, heck even 5x's by the end of this flu "season"

Sad indeed, but no country wide "Pandemic" to justify their actions.
Stopping you at the border to check your walking papers?
What is essential? Liquor stores and pot shops?
Think about that for a moment.
85% of people who get put on the ventilator never come off.....85%!!!!!!!!
Are the ventilators really saving lives?
They sure are desperate for more ventilators.......... the ventilator in this case is almost a death sentence = scary  !

CDC estimates that influenza was associated with more than 35.5 million illnesses, more than 16.5 million medical visits, 490,600 hospitalizations, and 34,200 deaths during the 2018–2019 influenza season. This burden was similar to estimated burden during the 2012–2013 influenza season
1.
34,200 from the flu last year and that's totally normal, business as usual.

Makes the percentage of cases/deaths pretty damn small.  The media is having a field day with this; in the meantime, the nation is shutting down and negating all the progress we had made with unemployment, better wages, the economy in general.  Not to mention the horrific burden they are putting on our children that will NEVER be able to pay this off.  Fiscal irresponsibility...

I do have a bad news story now, a lady we know from church, her mother is in a nursing home that is on lockdown now, staff members and about half the patients including Laura's mother have the kung flu. She can't visit her mother and her mother was already in bad shape. Praying it ends well but not looking good.

One of the most un-clean places on earth is Africa. It hit the shores there in Egypt, Djibouti, and South Africa all about the same time and it is a minor nuisance there. The difference is that remdesivir (ebola drug) and chloroquine (malaria drug) are in widespread use where both work well against the Kung Flu.
