I think most here think dogs are the greatest, so post them up with any description, funny story, anything related.
I'll try to start.
This is Seamus, I picked him up 10/15/18 from the local shelter. I lost my last BorderHeeler 11/07/17, and went just about a year without a "best buddy". Now I have one again, I just needed the right dog, at the right time. Someone had spent time with this guy, very well mannered, affectionate, and has caught on very quickly.

This is Phantom, I adopted him about 6 years ago from a kill shelter here in Texas. He was about 2 when i got him, so he's somewhere around 8. Nobody would adopt him because he was obsessed with bugs, meaning he would try to catch them and wouldn't socialize with people or other dogs at all. When I went to pick him up I knew instantly he would be perfect for me. He just wanted some love and attention, and now he likes catching bugs, but he is mainly occupied with getting us to pet him now. He loves car rides, cheese, and the Swedish Fish candy. Oh, and taking my spot on my bed lol.

Here is our approx 10 year old Siberian Husky "Rosie" who left us about 1 year ago. We had adopted her from a Siberian Husky rescue in western NY state (when we lived up there). She was about 1 or 2 years old when we adopted her, & we spoiled her for 8 years.

This is Izzy, our Mountain Cur.I'm not quite sure how old she is,we got her from the dog catcher and she just said that she was young.I got her for a playmate for our beagle Annie who has been our house dog. I got tired of arguing with my wife about the dog hairs everywhere so I put Annie outside last Spring. I didn't want Annie to be lonely so I got Izzy, who is extremely active and barks at anything, especially our ducks and geese :). As soon as I look up a picture of my beagle Annie I'll post her too. Annie isn't the best rabbit dog but sits to get her belly rubbed some, gives high 5s and puts out her paw like she wants to shake. She was a rescued from a guy that had a gun to her head and was going to shoot her because she kept escaping the truck dog box he made her live in and a guy stopped it and brought her to the Humane Society.
Here's Annie with our cat Tigger.

I haven't wanted a dog, I have a desert tortoise, which is a perfect pet for me. but my wife was getting ab it baby hungry (we already have 4 kids) so finally gave in to a puppy. His name is Jesse:

This is the week before he came home:

And this is him this last week:

We've had him since the last week of August.
