My wife's motorcycle club is having its yearly conference/get together at Old Orchard Beach, Maine on Friday, & instead of her driving up 6 hrs on the motorcycle by herself, which I wasn't thrilled with I suggested we rent a trailer & tow it with my Ranger. So early tomorrow morning we are heading to Maine for a 4 day weekend.

On a side note: Does the Vulcan still have the voltage regulator on the bottom of the engine?

If so get a replacement and relocate it to where it can get some fresh air.

Tsquare, thanks for the info. Well we made it up & back fine, the ride up was terrible with it raining all the way & we ran into a lot of traffic. The ride from southern Jersey to south east Maine took us about 10 hours. This morning we loaded up the bike early (6:00 am) & left there at 6:30 am. We made good time until we got to central NJ were we hit by some traffic. We made it back in 7 1/2 hours. So glad we are home. Here is where we stayed.

Here is the view of the ocean from our room on the second floor deck.

Here a couple pics of the beach & the ocean.
