IMHO... Ford screwed up ROYALLY when designing the Ranger.
I understand SALES but when there is a BIG BASE of Ranger owners, waiting to buy a new truck and the release of the new Ranger, that was touted for a long time as the end all of small trucks, Ford fell flat on their face, designing a rig that looks like a car, suspension like a car, and priced it so far out of the reach of most buyers that the new truck can't help but fail.
Maybe that is what Ford wanted, produce just enough to stop the talk and fulfill their promise of a new Ranger, and then stop production because it IS a POS Truck.
I've read so many postings all over the Web about Ranger Sales being down, Ranger not living up to Ford expectations, that I am surprised it hasn't already gone away.
AND then there is the new Bronco, or will that be scrapped before it makes it to market. They have already pushed out the release date, is that to see where the Ranger Sales go ?
As stated above, too bad Ford didn't listen to the LARGE Ranger Owner Base, but then again when have they ever !
