Seems to me as if Google likes to make sure everyone bends to their needs as obedience is commanded rather than being the service provider they're meant to be..
Interesting and amzing how just even one of many corporations, an Internet search engine in this case, has such a tightly wrapped cold firm grip around the genital sack of society...

As much as i agree on the phone stance, i'm afraid having a site that is mobile friendly is a must.

I hate things like tapatalk etc, i just want something that's html5 compatible - i always prefer computers for web browsing, but the truth is, web access for forums actually makes sense for quick stuff.

It's not that people have a ton of free time to browse on phones, it's that they're out, busy doing other things, and they sometimes get a few minutes spare to click on the email that a forum response was posted.

Just wanted to let everyone know we are still working on the goals. It is just him and I for right now we don't have a "panel" of programmers like the expensive software does.

The base code of this software has been proven for 10 years to have a much better handle on server resources than the "big boys (IPB and Vbull) and I have hosted forums based on this code that have had 300 active users at a time (and 5000 visitors a day) on a very small dedicated server. PLUS we can actually change things, on a Vbull you get what you get if things work they do if they don't then live with it forever.

Every Vbull I'm on I miss my "back to the top" buttons and the cookies actually working... forums instantly being marked read after you visit them. I like the PM system better here.

We can't possibly make is so everyone likes every feature, impossible to please all humans. However we do listen to everything that is said and suggested and will strive to please as many of you as is possible.

The "phone" thing is a big issue. I seriously can't believe that people have so much free time not in front of a real computer that they have to use their phones to surf with.

BUT that's just me and I am getting mildly dinged by google for lack of "mobile friendliness" on our pages.

So just know we are working on it.

A lot of people now a days dont own computers.
I have a big phone, a tablet and a laptop in my shop.  And I'm almost 40, so keep the young comments at bay.

Anyone want to volunteer as a guinea pig?

I have a phone friendly version but it is flaky - if anyone wants to help out develop it with me as a test user then put your hands up.

Chris, I am running an iPhone 4S, have one eye that is completely useless and the other one isn't far behind. I'm not holding MY hand up for that! LOL

I'm sure you will have a few volunteers, though! :)

Your spellcheck is misfiring again. That should be "Ranger, Ranger"

I think we should suspend his Mod rights until he learns to spell Ranger correctly. :)
