Hey everybody! I'm Big John and I just bought a Ranger.

I tried... umm ... Let's just say another forum and when I realized that place was pretty dead, I was glad to get an invite for here.

I'm retired, have a couple old Mopars in my garage and just bought a plain vanilla 2010 Ranger. I needed something simple to be a second car/truck and replace the diesel Excursion that I just sold.

Anyway... This is my Ranger. Pic from the used car lot.

Hi John glad you found your way over. Really sad about the other place, it's downfall is what prompted the creation of F-R :cool:

Thanks everyone! Much better welcome than a "bot"! LOL!

I'll grab some more pics tomorrow (maybe).

Regarding mods, I don't think there will be a lot of those. I have a tonneau cover showing up tomorrow (love Amazon Prime) and I have to get my XM radio hooked up. That will be it for now.

I too ordered a tri fold tonneu on Amazon prime, it worked out very well. Welcome!

What type of Excursion did you sell? 7.3 or 6.0?

I had '03 with a 6.0. I really liked the truck, and had it for almost ten years, but it was about three times the truck I needed. My son bought it and my car trailer from me... Which is great because I can borrow it when I need it.

:hi Welcome Big John, Glad you joined us. Have fun and enjoy F-R. Most of us use to belong to that other forum. I followed Jamman when he started this forum. To much drama on the other.

Big_John, I responded to you on the other forum. Much prefer this one as it has more activity. My standard cab is an 09 4 banger with manual trans. Staying busy hauling dirt, woodchips, trees, plants and things. Everyone seems to need something moved!

I just went back today and saw you responded on the welcome thread.. and kinda agreed with me on what good paint work costs in the only other thread I responded to.

Had I realized how dead that was over there, I would have never bothered registering.
