I am wanting to add factory air to my 2011 Ford Ranger, 4.0L, 5spd manual. I cannot find instructions anywhere on net. Help is appreciated. I am moving from Minnesota to Brownsville, Texas. I really need AIR!! Truck has only 44k miles.

You will need to start with the AC style HVAC box and mount it to your firewall, this may or may not require the engine being removed.
We would need to determine if your truck is already wired for AC from the factory, this is something I do not know
After that there is alot of plumbing to do, and parts to add
Best bet would be to source all of the parts you need from one donor vehicle
This could be a large under taking, some people will actually suggest selling your truck and buying one with AC

There are ranger nuts out there that would like to delete their ac
perhaps you can work something out with somebody and trade parts, your non ac setup for their ac stuff

In reality it's easy. I added a/c to a 2.3 in a alleyway lol. On a 4.0 the inner fender has to come out to get to the lower bolts. Not hard just time consuming. For the condenser the op will need the upper small rubber mounts/ lower steel bracket that bolts the small core support rail. Don't get a used condenser or evaporator. As for wiring well I've found out that when you add a a/c hvac control panel it will take to the computer (had a scanner hooked up and was able to see it turn off and on). My 2003 only had the high pressure switch plug and electric fan. I built a homemade harness. Makes sure you wire the switchs in! Downside to doing it this way is that the compressor will run continues. I added a switch in the dash to turn it off and on for defrost. Last thing make you oil o rings with pag oil. Sandbox pressure test and vacuum the system.

I've been looking for a 2003 2.3 computer (manual tranny) and a entire Underhood wiring harness to make it look factory. But hey it's ice cold a/c in the summer.
