 So I've been itching to buy tires now that my truck don't change lanes by itself.

I'm wondering why I can get a set of Crosswind A/T Tires in 265/75/16 for just over 110 each, they look aggressive and have 1/2 tread.

I have looked at reviews and they usually get 4 stars.

Has anyone actually purchased a set and used them?

 Don't know much about the tire itself seems mostly good reviews except for those that seem to buy them in winter. Complaints surrounding wet weather traction & quick tire wear seem to be of issue. Don't know if its a tread pattern issue or a tire temperature issue. Outside of that they come off as decent for warmer climates.

 Could be vehicle alignment issues also, moderate toe in or toe out would not feel bad to the normal every day vanilla style driver but would drag the fronts off relatively quick.

I saw the wear issue video it seemed to be a different tread of tire from them.

There is noticeable dry rot on the tires I put on it after the front end job. You have to look close but you can see it. I can get these now but if I want anything fancier I have to wait and take a chance on one of the current tires separating.

 I'm a huge fan of the bf Goodrich all terrain t/a I've ran them on my truck since I bought it new. The set that is on it now have about 80,000 and more then 1/4 tread left. A little  pricey yes but worth every penny. Good on dry pavement wet mud snow just an all around good tire and very little road noise. Little rougher ride but with a good set of shocks solves that problem

Seriously though I have to agree with 06XLT.. Id rather spend my money on something well known for durability and reliability. I could say the same and more about my Dynapro MT's.. But then the argument "seems" to become brand loyalty but then with reason of course. I like the BFG too, but my experiences with BFG in other tires kinda sours my aptitude for them and I have a tire guy as a friend whose gotta be in the top 12 BFG fanboys ever.. I'm surprised he doesn't have BFG Retreads for underwear yet outside of awkward chaffing...

I find just about any tire conversation that comes up on these Ranger forums you and I always both seem to beat a drum and carry the banner for our BFG and Hankooks is what i was pointing out but I do agree on your analogy.

EDIT: However woman or tires, the moment they do me wrong... DONE.. never go back LOL

I gave hankooks on my wife's car and my dad runs them on his truck. They a have a nice product. But to each there own. I might switch to hankooks on my next set. Bfg's are getting expensive

One issue, in the 16" variety the bfg is only available in an e rated tire.  That thing eeighs 50+ lbs each.  Thats a lot of rotational weight thats not needed.

Jamman, if look up who makes them and go from there.  A lot of major tire corps have budget brands.

Quick googlebshows them as an off chinese brand.  I got my tires(same size for 130ish each) from discount.  They ride well, and are quiet.

Pathfinder AT and are made by kuhmo for discount tire.

BFG KO are decent tires in the snow and mud and on the street, however I have a big problem with the tread design. The same thing that allows them to float well on deep snow and sand also causes major hydroplaning in slush/water at highway speeds. Not a fan of the BFG anymore not since the KO and KOII, the old AT's were great. And yes I have run 2+ sets of the KO since they came out, tread patterns still has the water dam"

I love Toyo AT very good tire and will outlast any of these other mentions here

Never had that problem. I just got a new set of ko2's today. First time running the ko2's. So I'll get back on that

Has anyone used Hankook Dynapro ATM's?

I can't find a bad review but they might have paid a lot for that.

My vote is for the BFG AT's, can't beat them for wear, and I have used then in New England Winters without a major problem.
Out here in SoCal, the wet roads are a big problem, road oils raise up to the surface and cause all kinds of havoc,but the BFGs pull through, also wise driving !

As was stated earlier, they run a little more than the rest but they LAST, I had a set years backend they made it to three trucks; my latest set came with me to SoCal, over 4 years ago and you would not believe how much they DIDN'T wear.

$$$$ vs Milage vs Time Owned = The best all around tire - BFG AT's !

I have not used any other tires in so long I can't say if there is something better out there or not, you are reading reviews but reviews can be misleading... you are now talking to the people that own and use them.

 welding it usually a cleaner option then using a 8.8 kit/spacers/brackets IMO
