Who has heard it in person?  Found a nib setup local for cheap.  Debating on buying it.

There are tons of videos. Exhaust always sounds different I'm person.  I was going to hear from someone with experience

I have a Flowmaster dual catback on my 06. The fit was great and the sound is awesome. I also have a single Gibson cat back in the basement waiting for a future project.

Back in April of this year I replaced the JBA system I had on the Ranger with a Dynomax system #-39315 that I purchased from RockAuto. I like the sound of it.

Not ever hearing it in a Ranger application specifically. I have heard plenty of them back in the day when the late 80's early 90's 5.0L Mustangs in Detroit were Dynomax and Flowmaster mufflers rivaled each other like LL Cool J and Kool Moe Dee or Led Zeppelin vs Rush.  I like both, I've had both but on different vehicles.

I have a Flowmaster 40 on my 93' Ranger 4.0L OHV and although it sounds great down low & mid end, top of the tach seems a bit.., I dunno - full? But I've got 362K on this engine and trans setup I'm sure if it had fresh heads and rings it would carry that growl a bit more in the upper realms of the gears.

I also had a 95' Escort with a crap load of engine work that ran a 4-1 header, 60mm SS pipe (2.25" aprox) to a Dynomax Ultra-flo muffler It was also super low tone especially on cold start and removed the raspy-ness of the exhaust tones I despised on other like inline 4 cyl cars.

Personally I don't think you could go wrong with either brand, I think it comes down to brand loyalty (based upon the sound) and cost factors for many.

There is a ranger dynomax muffler YouTube video but its 30min of minutia.  I would have posted but felt itd get more complaints than praise. If you search it up fast forward to the 11 min mark to hear his original the go to the 27min mark to hear the dynomax.

Did you get the Dynomax Exhaust in-place ?

I like the sound of the Dynomax Mufflers on a custom exhaust with a 5.0L in a Ranger setup.
I purchased two Dynomax Wwelded Steel Myfflers for my latest project but it is on hold.

I ended up buying it.  It sounds decent.  Quiet.  I doubt most normal people would even think it has exhaust
