I removed this from a wrecked car at work. Can anyone tell me what it does? I know from what I googled it's an add on amp for your existing radio? Its says it's a 4 channel 45 watts. Would it be used to supply more power to your door speakers?

It say alpine head unit power pack KTP-445U

Yup that's one of the two in the running for my vehicle. I have read tons of reviews. They are very "hideable" and just kinda boost what is there, low noise, i thought it was just a 2 channel and I was going to need 2 of them?

You can get about 80 bucks on e-bay for it. If you don't end up using it I'll give you 40 for it. Just put it in my pile lol.

Ahhh I remember, they are bridgeable I was going to run 2, 4 channels total 90W per channel.

I was going to get that or a pair of clairion XC1410's but was leaning toward the alpine.

Actually I lied, I didn't remember, I had to access my file I saved on them.

Hope to start a bidding war and make you some money :)

Would I wire this into the factory speaker wires and use this as an amp for my door speakers?

Yes. Unbridged it will handle all 4 speakers. You can bridge it and get 90W RMS per channel for your 2 door speakers.

Needs a 15A feed from somewhere. It can be battery since there is a separate amp on wire if you use line input.

It accepts RCA output from your head unit (you need to run the trip wire for amp on) or speaker output (amp on is automatic with head unit  speaker output as the inputs for the amp). I don't know how to bridge it was going to figure it out when it was in my hands.

It is quite a little device I think you will like it. Tell me if it sucks and I will buy the clairions LOL

Here's the owners manual had it saved since I had my dodge 1500

My $ .02

Run the radio to rears only, Use that amp to run to your door speakers with an added set of tweeters aimed at the back of the rear view mirror as a 4 channel amp or a 2-way component set [would be better].. Front stage should be the bigger concern as it sets the sound stage and imaging. Especially if you're planning on running a sub at all.
