It's gonna take a good bit of fab work to make them fit, but it can be done. Just depends on how bad you want it. I made some 04 extended cab seats fit my 01 standard cab. Took more than a full day of scratching my head and fab work.. Two days really.

Tracks were different on my swap. Much longer for the ex cab. Also, on the seat belt bolts, the shanks were different sized and the belts wouldn't just swap in either. The two different uppers and lowers wouldn't snap together.

I already modified my seat tracks and seat belts to go from a 60/40 split bench to explorer buckets. I was just wondering about the escape seats. I plan on reusing my tracks.

Lol. You have access to more visual hands on pieces than most of us can dream of. I'd suggest going down the ranger row and flip over a ranger bucket and look at the tracks next to the escape seats. That way you dont buy them if they dont fit.

PLUS...The heated electric leather buckets are what most of us are after. Myself, id just live with my 60/40 and put seat covers on if the explorer seats were not a easy swap.

I'd fix that one you have and pay them some extra to beef up the side we all drag our butt on when we get out

I bet if you priced the seat repair vs new seats+ 1-2days to install itd be about the same with less hassle and its brand new. Plus you already have the BADDEST (meaning good) looking seats I've seen in a ranger. I'm rooting for the repair

I'm interested in the sport trac seats if you decide you are done with them. Buying yours would be easier than trying to find a set myself even if they need some work. I'm calling dibs.

Yes, I'm serious. You can PM me and work out any deatails.

I put 2008 Lincoln navigator seats in my 97 F350 crew cab....they are heated and cooled.
It took a bit of fabrication, basically I made new metal feet for the 2008 tracks that line up to the 1997 holes in the floor. I chopped up the 2008 tracks to lower them and welded some box steel and strap steel to make the feet, then painted the whole apparatus. Then I sat in it decided it was too tall and did it all again.
Next I bought a 2008 navigator wiring book and figured out the heater/cooler wiring in my living room. 2008 Lincoln there are 3 computers mounted under the drivers seat, there are about 42 wires on each seat not being used so I stripped all of that out.
Now with a three pole switch for each seat I can have heated or cooled air. It was a pretty big project as far as seat swaps are concerned and I am still not done (we sold our house and moved right when I was doing the swap)
When you go to ebay to buy leather seats for a superduty,  you will pay big $$$ just for the word superduty or F150...type in Lincoln and the prices fall like a stone.
Now I have powered black leather buckets in pristine condition in my 97 and 2008 technology for a fraction of the cost of "king ranch" or whatever Superduty leather buckets
My point?
When there is a will there is a way!!

So I'm wondering if the covers will interchange? My expo seats are heated I would like to keep that feature. The escape seat I have are not. So I was wondering if I would be able to swap the covers around and retain my heated seats?

The bottom covers may swap over, or you can just add heat to the escape seats, you can buy seat heaters for anything these days

I may swap out covers instead of seats since my frame and tracks are already modified to fit my truck and pretensioners
