I'm trying to figure out what's going on with my ranger and I'm watching the short term and long term fuel trim. Can anybody explain this. It's bouncing all over that place.

It could be weak spark bad injector bad o2's. Start with the basics plugs and wires. Check the coil pack. I just went through this on a sport trac. I had a bad coil pack and a fuel injector that was spraying gas all the time

Could try a bottle of techron and a tank of fuel without touching any tools first. It smoothed my truck out right away
