 2001 sport trac 4.0 is hard to start almost acts like it loosing its prime. Any thoughts or ideas

 On a normally good running 4.0 a slow or hard start is USUALLY fuel pressure related (weak pump)

Check rail pressure at cold start
2001 has return style fuel rail should run/prime around 36-42 psi and there IS a schrader valve LOL

 Yea it has a Schrader valve. Lol.... that's what I was thinking that the pump maybe getting weak. Now I did notice that the vent hose on the filler neck is broke off. Could it be possible that it's getting to much air?
