Is the 1998 2.5 an interference motor or not? I thought it was but read multiple places it is not.

I just looked at a 98 that is in freaky good shape (body and frame) the frame doesn't have any flake rust at all like it isn't from ohio.

Timing belt is in pieces. What are the chances of it running right just replacing the belt.

Lol your killing me Jim... its basically a 2.3. Lima in the plant that built the engines. 2.0 2.3 and 2.5 all 3 basically the same. In my opinion the 2.3 being the better of 3

It is NOT an interference motor.

I looked this up prior.  When the timing belt on my '98 2.5 broke, all I did was replace it.  Ran perfect.
