Hi everyone im looking to buy another transmission and i always get the same question whats the engine id can someone point me in the right direction to find this info out so i get the right transmission here are my options 1L5P-CA OR 1L5P-CB ... TIA

If I'm not mistaken the engine id tag should be on the left valve cover. The sticker should look like a bar code. But dont quote me on it.

im not seeing the id or do i need to de-code it ?

Look in the VIN # on the door tag, the 8th digit should be the engine code.

I figured it out the engine ID is not in the vin or the motor i had to call the dealership parts dept gave them the last 8 of my vin and they told me my engine id... hope this helps someone else out...

They always ask for the vin because most parts guys are useless without there stupid computers anymore. I assure you, he used your vin to tell you what you wanted to know, otherwise He couldn't have without it. Just saying
