I would pay $800-1200 for a truck like that
I would TRY to get it closer to the $800 but refuse to go home empty if we are talking another $200-300 to bring it home.
97 should not scare you in fact the 97 is a wicked good year for swapping
The 97 has P heads (most likely, does it have the EGR tube on pass side?) non pats, return fuel and a VSS!!.
The 4r70w is still a damn good transmission in 97 (its the early 93-94 4r70w that got a bad wrap).
The 96-97 unit found in the Ex is still very good and the upgrades can be done easily through the pan.
I would jump on that deal, 93K miles if it is in good condition with a title....well they are getting harder to find.
The drivetrain itself is worth $1000-1200, and you get a rear axle as a bonus. The rest of the truck is not worth much LOL unless the seats are really nice has good tires, etc etcLast edited on Fri Oct 4th, 2019 10:20 am by 410customs
