My 15 year old got his first official driving lesson today. In a parking lot array, a few businesses attached by small roads.

During this event he seemed to enjoy accelerating right before a large water puddle (it was raining) and splashing.

Without prompting he said to me "I think I would like 4 wheeling".

This is really cool, it might be a chance for me to get back in to it too! Need to find a local club near Columbus.

I used to take ArcticWolf to a big stadium parking lot to learn. One day we went and it had snowed a few days prior so there were spots that were icy. I wanted him to experience stopping on ice and snow, so this was perfect. I had him get up to almost 40 mph then hit the brakes hard. The car, of course, went into a slide and his knuckles turned snow-white. Once the car came to a stop, he looked at me and then a wide grin crossed his face. He loved it! Good times... good times! :)

I did basically the same thing with my son. Only it was a muddy field and we were in my 78 F-100. It had the 400M, granny gear 4-speed, 4:10 gears , sitting on 33's. It was a fun truck.

careful!!!!

You guys are creating future mini me's!!
My dad taught me to drive a stick in a 88 RX7 turbo on the snow.....that way I didn't fry his clutch.
That was 31+ years ago now
Yesterday I spent most of my time sliding sideways in the snow and 4x4ing all over the forest in various off road vehicles... is this the future you want for your kids? Because that's where this behavior leads!!!

2' of snow and counting....good time to test some snow wheeling skills
My sons legs are long enough to reach the pedals on a few of our machines now....he will be 11 in April
They have been driving atv since they were 4, now what I like to do it put them behind the wheel of the 2014 polaris ace with snow tracks on it in low range....thinking it would be really difficult to do any damage in that thing because it only goes 5mph in low with tracks on and if you let off the throttle it comes to a stop....so my son instead tried to take out the corner of the house! He just wanted to park it close he said.... hahaha

Family plays together stays together
Now I gotta find a gen I sploder to build up....5 more years he will be driving!!

I didnt have a daddy!!! Neighbor took me to the highschool parking lot and taught me to use a manual in a jeep with a 302. Learned how to do pirouette donuts.

Finished learning how to drive a manual when my older sister left her Honda 600 at the house while she took a trip. Me and 3 friends would lift it back on to the flat spots in the lawn after driving to and from school. Almost got away with it but she wrote down the millage😳

Nephew turned 18 after xmas and got his license last week. His dad made this for him out of a $200 honda. I call it a rolling probable cause...

I started both of mine out with parallel parking and telling them that was the most difficult maneuver in a car.

This is kinda late since my sister already got her license but I helped teach her how to drive a stick! Now sure she can make it move but can't power shift worth a damn lol. I've been showing her what it's like to slide on ice and snow.

Tell me about it, my dad gave her a BMW with 177k on it.... he gave me a huge pain in the rear since I'm always the one to work on it.. already had to replace brakes, water pump (600 bucks), hoses, transfer case motor, tires. Why he would not get rid of it I don't know
