It gives my phone less fits.  The grey makes the icons a little tough to see on the phone though

Thanks - I have changed the button background to white - is that better?

Alternatively you can try out the developing mobile version - it works at a simpler level and gallery is being developed, but for reading and simple posts with attached photos off the phone, it is OK.

Go here - FR Mobile

On the page I have to reply or new topics,or edit, there are no drop downs on this page. All I see at top is See new editor- here and at bottom reload last post cancel preview post and post. So I changed back to my regular ranger setting from rangernew and now I got emojis.

Looks like the auto sub option is only missing from the quick reply box.

Ah - sorry the new editor does not support earlier than Windows 10.

But the old editor will remain and I have a slight upgrade for that one in the pipeline.

Any chance of getting the reply box (full version) to show alongside your avatar, instead of below it?

Additionally, in the quick reply, have two buttons, one for the quick reply, and one for advanced, or similar?

Obviously you hit reply with nothing in the quick reply box to get the full advanced window, but not only is that unclear, but you get an error on the next screen saying You must fill all the required fields..

Every post has a full reply button in the top and the bottom borders as well as a separate one at the top of the topic.

The quick reply is just that - for quick comments - the reply button in that box is only for quick replies - not to get to the full editor.

Not sure what you mean by avatar alongside the reply box instead of above it - the full editor spans the whole page.

I always miss the 'reply' button on the posts, i'm always drawn to the little white editor box at the bottom - most forums have a reply button there (as we do) and a full/advanced button to get the full editor.

'Reply' on a post changes meaning depending on the forum, some have that as a direct reply, meaning it will quote it, whilst others have yet another button there, 'quote' for which to do that from.

As for the alongside thing, this is what my screen looks like (and it appears to be because i use the reply button in the quick reply box)

Ah - I see - that is the post preview box - you should not be seeing that at all!! I'll fix that.

I'll also relabel the QR button to avoid confusion.

OK, so I am using the new editor.

So far it looks good, no FONT descriptors, and is easy to change things within the text body, color.
The "Editing Buttons" are easy to get to and easy to understand.
Sub and Superscript is a good thing, was always there but these are quick to see and understand.

This appears to be a good choice in editors, some out there are ssssoooo plain Jane, that it is hard trying to make a point.

Good Job to whom ever chose this one !

Thanks for the feedback - good to know you approve so far!

Do you have any views on the colored text in the buttons on the bottom line or the overall layout?

Have you tried the editor in full screen mode?

The Lettering on the buttons appears on the lighter side, not as defined as you might expect.  (This could be just my computer, so take this comment as a note to look at) !

The "Gallery Button" isn't the same as the original Editor, that took a little checking into before attempting to use.  Is that button  going to be the only way to get pictures to the screen ?  Not a bad idea, at least we won't lose them and make some write-ups almost useless !

Just Clicked on the "Maximize Button", is that the Full Screen Editor ?  I like it !

I tried the Sub and Superscripts, the Text Tools - "B", "I", and "U", those work easy enough.

Haven't tried all the buttons yet but will see how things work out as we go along !

The Date and Time Buttons are interesting, I have never seen them in a Forum Site before, not sure where they will fit but as time goes by I will see where to insert things.

The "Bullet and Number Lists Buttons", I like them but some editors have a problem with getting out of the List Mode.  I need to check that out to see if my fears are warranted.

Full Screen Editor, I like the larger page layout, I sometimes need a larger screen to write what I am thinking, or it maybe I put too many useless words to the page.

I haven't tried all of the Insert Features but will in the near future, the rest of this new editor looks and act really well for a Forum Site Editor, I have seen Site Editors that are just not willing to allow long write-ups or won't give you any room for a longer writeup and make you use the Cut and Paste through a Word Processing program, then you have all kinds of little problems that arise but using this editor will allow for longer posts and editing.

What about Editing Time, is there any limits on the writing...  time, number of words, etc. !

Sorry for getting wordy, AGIAN, but this looks like it will be a great addition to the site and from my other Site Experiences, this editor is the best one out there by far !

Keep up the great work guys, I hope it pay off in the end !

p.s.
The Full Screen Button works in reverse very well also, the text looks the same no changes so far, no FONT indicator, periods and commas as in place so great work !

Also, I hope these comments are what you are looking for, if not "sorry bout dat" !

One more thing...  "What is the "Edit Source Button" used for ?  I pressed it and got a could not find message.
