From today the new editor is available for a trial period.

We have tested it as far as we can but we now want to involve the forum members in the testing process.

If you want to be part of the trial then go to your "My account" in the drop down Menu in the header bar. Select  "Preferences" and in the Board theme dropdown select "Rangernew" and then Save.

You will now find that a new editor is available to you in Reply, Edit, New Topic and PM

The gallery and emoji are available in the menu bar as is the ability to make the editor full screen.

Hopefully you will find this editor more consistent over the different browsers.

Feedback on your experiences and any bugs would be appreciated in the new Editor Feedback topic.

New editor ignores the auto subscribe.  In fact, it unsubscribes you from already subscribed threads.

Some more updates to the new editor.

The post, preview, cancel and reload last post text buttons now appear in the top menu bar on the right hand side - hover over the buttons for a tooltip on each function.

Chris,
Just an overall update on the new editor.

My first response is, "I like it" !
As I have said before, "It is the best Forum Editor on the Web, hands down" !
The new Buttons, the LIKE Button, the ease of finding Editing Buttons, all make it easy to use.

If you think all of my Posts about the editor or for that matter anything about the Site is too much..., say something, no problem.  As I have said, "I have no filtering device built-in, I go for it evrytime I open my mouth" !

Thanks for the work to get this Site to be one of the better places to post in about Ford Rangers, and one of the easiest to post in !

Making the site easy and intuitive to use is our aim - it is always nice to have some confirmation that people are happy with it and feel that any feedback or suggestions are listened to and acted upon if possible.

The "Quick comment" button worked but I can't post using the "Reply" button or edit them with the "Edit" button.

P.S. I can still edit with the old editor though. :frd
