It was on the news last night that Ford is recalling it's 2006 Rangers For faulty air bags and it wants all 2006 Ranger owners to stop driving them.

Here is the story I posted on the other site => https://www.reuters.com/article/us-ford-takata/ford-urges-2900-pickup-owners-to-stop-driving-after-new-takata-death-idUSKBN1F02GN

Everyone with a question should go and do a look-up based on your specific VIN

Funny thing is the news stories are all beating Ford up for not getting these things recalled and fixed. Thing is; they can't without parts, and Takata isn't making them near fast enough, and apparently the replacements they made are faulty as well. Ford has only had two instances resulting in death where Honda has 19. I think another company needs to step in and start making inflators to get things caught up. Besides, Takata filed for bankruptcy, so they won't be around much longer anyway. Your best bet right now would be to unplug the airbag. It's not like cars have ALWAYS had them...
